Does anyone know why there is no official path that connects Chesed to Binah and Geburah to Chokmah. I realize that Daath is located in this area of the Abyss so to say. But it strikes me as odd as the whole system of attainment relies on going from Chesed to Binah. Would that not in itself rate a path? Or maybe is that the point of having the Abyss there? To eliminate any clear path so you have to figure it out yourself? I'm not trying to figure out HOW to get across the abyss, it just strikes me as odd that there isn't the paths connecting the Sephirah I described.

I look at it this way, do you consider painting or any other art (such as music) a manipulation of the gods? Magic to me is an art form and a science combined into one. In fact I see it as the art of the gods. So why shouldn't we learn it? Don't we want to learn how to do things on our own when we are children trying to gain independence? Just a thought.

I was bound to be proven wrong in at least one of my statements lol. No worries, I was aiming for what I believed the OP was referring to (traditional astrology) but of course I cannot cover all aspects as I am no expert.

There are many valid points in your post. In fact a college level introduction to astronomy course will teach you even more that will contradict astrology. Such as the fact that the earths tilt has changed since then and the dates are off for the different sun signs. That retrograde motion (one aspect of astrology) doesn't exist in real life (retrograde motion was supposedly when the stars and planets moved "backwards"). And the fact that astrology was based on the idea the the earth was the center of the universe. Of course we all can prove with science that these things are not true NOW but they had no way to figure it then! So I suppose the best way to reconcile this would be to learn all you can about both astronomy and astrology and attempt to reconcile the two into harmony. In fact I had such an idea but alas I am working on other things and this is simply not a priority for me.

Also, this is not truly the basis for Thelema or the practice of magick. Its all about the energies and the symbols that represent them. Once you realize that then you will find a system that works for you. I am also a very rational minded person and coming to understand anything that is considered "occult" was difficult. Let me put it this way, your brain is wired so that you understand mathematics but art most likely eludes you (i'm the same way lol). So anything concrete is fine but anything open to interpretation and with no right or wrong answer is frustrating to say the least! All you can do is open your mind and just try to EXPERIENCE the things you are trying to look into. I feel that this will help you greatly and you might find that this isn't for you but if you decide this is the path your will intends for you then I wish you the best and I hope that this is helpful!

So in summary, you wish to overwhelm your foes (in your case the police, courts, laws, etc.) with force or fear. If this is incorrect please let me know and disregard this post. Otherwise read on.

There's an old saying that there are no such things as "good" or "evil". While humanity loves to create this duality of nature about everything its all about someone's perspective. Now, I do agree with Jim's statement. If you are to pit your will against the collective will of a society, then most likely you will be trampled without a chance. Its kind of like one man going up against a million people trying to defy them all. Its cool in movies but isn't very effective in practice.

Now, if you want to just "evade" the cops (although I am not endorsing this) I suppose you could use some redirection based techniques. But if your aim is to overwhelm them, as I believe it is, then you would have to first empower yourself to the point where you could create your own tradition (much like Crowley did). To do this would take much time and effort (indeed, if it doesn't take your entire lifetime you might not even accomplish it). In this, numbers are power. The military does not rely on one individual to go to war, it relies on its unit cohesion and the combined training in each member. They use the numbers they deem fit for the job and it is almost always better to have more on hand than is necessary. So in this aspect I suppose that's leading more to a revolution of some kind (moral, cultural, spiritual, etc.).

A quicker way to go about it would be to get a bunch of mercenaries to constantly follow you around (although that might attract the attention of the CIA so you might not want that). Or just go make your own country and create your own culture and laws.
