Does anyone know when the chapter numbers were added to chapter I of The Book of the Law?

Was the Oath of the Abyss ever published in any of Crowley's works?

When I learned LBRP I was taught to move widdershins but all of the publications of the ritual have one moving deocil. Is not widdershins always used for bannishing & deocil for invoking?

If my intention is to choose a significator from the dignitaries based on the querent's natal chart, would I do better to select a card that reflects the querent's rising or sun sign?

I have a dilemma. I am planning an entheogenic working framed round the LXV formula for Beltane. I am not very astrologically inclined & I'm wondering if the stars will be in favor (I'm not even sure what constitutes favorable stars) for the working. Can someone give me an example of a ritual following said formula other than the G.D.'s 0=0 ritual & Pyramidos?

We are told in Liber Legis to do our Will and nothing else, but at the same time Crowley instructs his students to expand themselves by merging with every experience. Is this a contradiction or is this because he is operating under the premise that the expansion of the Self is an intrinsic part of each individual Will or the Universal Will?

This might be off subject a bit, but I have been contemplating the message of Achad's essay in light of constructing a new astrological system which is heliocentric, as opposed to the outdated geocentric model. In this way, one would have an earth sign rather than a sun sign, & of course the actual position of all of the planets against the constellations would appear differently. This model is more in line with astronomy & science, & I would love to explore it further, but I don't know even where to begin...

...it accomplishes the task of placing the Magician on the sun (in the center) rather than the earth under the false perception of its station as central ...possibly a more 'Thelemic' astrology.

In reviewing the Oaths of each Grade I noticed that 0=0 & 1=10 were the only Grades that called for a new Motto. Is the 1=10 Motto used throughout one's career in A.'.A.'. or are there larer Grades in which it is desirable to adopt as new Motto? I know that Crowley had several, but I wasn't sure if that was a Golden Dawn thing.

Can someone explain to me the nature & importance of the Formula of the Neophyte? I read the chapter relating thereto in Magick In Theory & Practice but I am still unclear about it.

Someone has added that book to the curriculum they are issuing. I have no problem with the book itself, I'm only observing that someone has added it - since the book was published decades after Crowley died.

I have a few questions concerning the Thoth deck.

1. What is the significance of the "ten Stars of Assiah" depicted on the knight's armour in the Chariot card in relation to the nature of the card?

2. How can the Hermit card at once signify the male sperm & the female virgin? On another note, I was taught that it signified the clitoris.

3. Aside from the appearance of the rainbow during distillation & percipatation, what is the significance of the iridescence that accompanies the stage of the Great Work depicted in the Art card?

4. This one is no doubt going to sound silly, but I'm going to be as direct as possible. Is the Eye in the Tower card sopposed to be an anus? Is this where the card's connection to the 11th degree of O.T.O. drawn from?

5. Where is the Tree of Life form that supposedly springs from "wheel of Light" in the center of the Universe card?
