Great hyperlink. I could relate completely to what you were saying.

I am interpreting these events as being either my advancement or my decay with my connection between my HGA on one hand and see them as reminders for concepts that are dear to me and my path.

Why does the chair or notepad or lamp on my desk not stand out and cause the same emotional reaction? From a behavioral aspect, my unconscious(hga?) created an anchor between the feeling associated and related images. So, these occurences also act as visual anchor reminders to do daily exercises or to invoke or focus more often on my hga. Like seeing a stop sign means stop. Seeing these images are like continue or keep going.

These occurrences have also gotten me severely interested in the area of the brain called the Reticular Activating System which directs and controls attention of our organism or nervous system. For example, if while you were reading this you heard a thud or noise and it caused you to stop reading and listen to the noise, then your RAS picked up on that noise as being more important and needing to be attended to and not ignored. This is a big time survival mechanism and I think is important for direction and commanding attention.

With that being said, the images that are seemingly random that I see at random intervals also makes me think of Variable Reinforcement schedules. (Most important concept in psychology). The variable reinforcement schedule is the mechanism behind Lottery, slot machines, etc. So, with the images popping up randomly and my interpretation as being magickal gives me a little self esteem or confidence reward boost that makes me want to continue to pursue my endeavors.

But, not interpreting them at all seems more spiritual as our natural thinking tendencies are to make things into the familiar so we can kill the meaning and feel comfortable making it known and part of who we are. Maybe.

Sorry about placing this in the wrong section. I just came across the section for unstructured ramblings. My apologies.

A few years ago, I did an almost year long Tarot exercise where I took each major arcana card and studied it for a week and then embodied it for a week by acting like the card. Very difficult. The exercise is from Christopher Hyatts book on Energized Meditation(Highly Recofuckingmendeed).

But, My original intention on the working was to figure out what the card(XV) did when projected into my psyche. I have been feeling strong in my astral body and wanted to sense/feel the energies of the card and get to know it on a deeper level. I feel like I got what I wanted from the working, but am always curious to see the after effects as taking account of all my workings and tracking the results is hard enough.

Do you have any experiences with the card?

Not sure if this should be put under Magick or not, but since the experience was not ceremonially induced I figured Mysticism will have to work.

While on my magickal journey as we all are, I keep running into enigmas(23, 11:11,etc), but for me these have taken on different qualities/representations. Now, from a psychological standpoint I understand that the more I pay attention to something, the more I tend to pay attention to that particular something because I am creating and reinforcing a neural loop which my RAS(reticualr activating system) makes a habit and picks up on more often.

Well, thats all fine and dandy, but this shit just gets more and more persistant, but in a good way. Either I am severely disillusioned and confabulating/abstracting information through my belief system and interpreting as meaning something more than what it is, but either way its still fun as hell.

So, like literally multiple times a week, sometimes daily I seen the #13, checkered flags, and the Batman symbol. A little internet research shows 13 as being transformational, etc. 13 in the tarot is the Death card. The checkered flag being the finish line and the Batman symbol representing crossing the abyss or the dark night of the soul. Although, what I am seeing doesn't mean anything in and of itself, my brain is making these occurrences of images pop up all over the place. Now, if I could just get in touch with that bastard and tell him to show me more titties, more money, and more fun!!!

I have been working with the Tarot deck for a little while and decided to mix the tarot cards with concepts from Chaos Magick. In CM, you create sigils and wank-off to the image in order to charge it, but there are many ways of course.

So, I decided that I wanted to understand the Devil card on a deeper level.

Now, the word Devil instantly hypnotizes people to think "bad, evil, burning flesh, etc" - The Devil is NOT Chorozon.
And, the devil does not manifest himself by killing, raping, molesting, etc.- The Devil card, in my experience is the True Scientist. One who is willing to die for his knowledge and is not afraid to go wherever he needs to go.

Experiment: LBRP, Middle Pillar and Wank-Off While Looking at the Card.

Results: profound increase in energy, more certain, driven, assured. The following week I clarified what specific purpose was for my career(exact job). One of the most liberating experiences ever!

My apologies for not answering directly your questions. However, as far as attributing to the quarters...I have been using the Lust(Therion/Babalon) tarot card and The Star Card(Nuit, Hadit). When bellowing in each four quarters I vividly imagine the Lust card while saying Therion/Babalon. And, the Star card for Nuit/Hadit.

In my experiance, if you ever wonder if you should do something...Give It A try!

Since we are dealing with psycho-spiritual energy try to stick to reputable guideliness given by the ones before us because they have did this with trial and error.

But, more importantly WRITE down every working you do in your magical journal. So so so important.

Also, dont get caught up in specifics because the purpose of all rituals is to manifest your desires so you can attain to the highest!

My apologies in advance for pretending like I understand the nature of your question and experience in which you are working out. Everything that I say here is a lie and may do more harm than good. So, take ALL I say with the proverbial grain of salt.

Ceremonial Magick for me, at this time, seems to invoke energies that are a much higher frequency. However, so do many other things. My years of practicing Magick have not yielded me very much material success at this time. However, the workings I have done were metaphors for the amount of time, focus, energy, enthusiasm, hard-work, and determination that require success in any endeavor. That being said, do not neglect the simple task for am infesting desire.

In case you are still working on Chesed Ceremony, I hope this email will be of some value.

Your Outcome: Advance career in specific direction.

Since Chesed(Jupiter, Tsadekiel) represent expansiveness, growth, virtue and fortune…makes sense why you would invoke these!

Preliminary Questions(for you to answer):
what direction specifically do I want to go in?
who is already doing this that I can contact?
what is the shortest fastest and most effective way to get there?

I know words are a poor tool to communicate, so please forgive me for butchering the meaning in which you originally intended for the post. And, please excuse my ignorant answers.

The post said, you didn’t know if it was in alignment with your True Will.

To me, I think anything that deals with health, wealth, and happiness IS in your True Will. So, don’t worry about that.

I apologize for my projection here, but the way that’s worded makes it sound like you’re looking for a sure thing.

Your True Will IS to See Your Desire Manifest Itself- does that shed any light on your questions about real nature and True Will. Regardless, if thats true or not. We Brothers of Light do not fiddle with Doubt or Uncertainty- those are the works of the black brothers.

Anyway, continuing with the Cermony Part….

As far as ceremonially, You are on track with attributing the colors and images in your temple to match the sephiroth in which you’re working. Good Job!

To become familiar with any energies: Fake the behaviors of the energies until they become you. This is done physically in the body. The mind can only take you so far. So, with Chesed…start doing the behaviors that are in alignment with your career along with your meditations.

You’re internal representation of what you are doing is Really vivid in detail. And, awesome job on the daily practices!

And Yes, include Jupiter because its associated with Chesed. Also, invoke Tsadkiel- the archangel associated with that sephiroth.

As far as ceremonially, you are doing well.

But, for me- True Ceremony is harder than actually obtaining a particular goal IF you do everything to the T.

Hello Everyone, I am Frater Seth and I live in Orlando, Florida.
Finding myself here on Temple of Thelema doesn't seem that strange, even for a man who was born in Arkansas and raised by good ol' Southern Baptist.

I guess that my "initiation" started in 2007 at age 19 when introduced to NLP from another field of study in which I was severely interested. NLP lead to more and more psychology and learning courses which led to a career path in psychology.

Several years later I came across Ross Jeffries which recommended at book called the Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie. This introduction to Magick led me to the works of Robert Anton Wilson, Christopher Hyatt, and many others including Dr. Richard Bandler.

As a psychology major, invoking archetypal energies(spirits) didn't seem that "crazy" if look at through the psychological (quasi-psychological) model of Carl Jung. However, at this point I tend to look at Magick as behavioral theraphy (see Illumanatus! Trilogy appendix for this comparison).

I have heard of Magick described as brain changed willed and have attributed MY Magickal experiances as one's of learning experiences. Although I am not entirely ruling out the possibility to see demons or angels, my experiance has not shown me a visual representation of demons while evoking. However, this is probably most likely to deal with not following instructions properly.

So, up until now I see ceremonial magical rituals as being metaphors for my advancement of my will. More specifically, the more exact and precise that I perform a ritual( Ex: Liber Resh, Middle Pillar, Lesser Banishing, etc) represents the intensity and thoroughness with with I conduct my actual life, work, play, etc.

However, the only advice I would like to share from my experience with doing Magick for 7 years is this:

Thoroughly define the intentions of the operations and thoroughly define the means with which you chose to accomplish this desire. Start with more specific rituals(ex: getting a job vs a prayer to get more money), but if resources are limited or your Will is limited start with visualizations and prayers or whatever you believe will cause x to happen at y time.

Write down your results after ritual, day after, week etc or length of time to accomplish desire. Also, if you want more confidence you can surely invoke James Bond, etc. But, prior to invoking watch some films and write down the specific behaviors that look like confidence etc.

So, when you invoke in your mind you will see yourself walking, smiling, talking, and engaging in other behaviors that are a by-product of feeling confident. Remember: specificity and clarity of both Problem and Goal is required for fast manifestation.
