Yeah, they've got so much material. I'm downloading all their pdfs and comparing them to the ones I have on file. There's so much there that I didn't even know existed. Crowley's spiritual works are common finds, but these guys have been collecting and key entering all his poetry and prose too.

Thelemic Libers PDFYou're doing something wrong. They're accessible without a login. Also, every file is viewable without a download except the compilation which is too large for google drive to preview.

Thelemic Libers PDFOk guys, so I've been out for a long time but I'm here to update this post and project.
Here is a link [REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATOR FOR VIOLATION OF FORUM RULES, WARNING ISSUED] to a PDF version of the entire project in one file, fully bookmarked and indexed!! Enjoy that.
Here is a link [REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATOR FOR VIOLATION OF FORUM RULES, WARNING ISSUED] to a folder containing all the PDF files individually.
I'm aware that a couple of the files may be false copies. I'm not here to debate the legitimacy of them.

I used the Bible she gave me as kindling."Uh huh. I see.
There are pearls contained therein if one can but see through the dogma and past one's revulsion for the promulgators of the book.

Lunar rituals and "LIBER QOPH vel HECATE"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
@hepuck said
"I have been attempting to synthesize my basic paganism and my Thelemism, all through the lens of my general training and temperament (ceremonialism as opposed to shamanism, chaos, witchcraft, etc) so I was looking for lunar rituals for the new and full moons that were more in the ceremonialist vein than the ones I know from being a part of the pagan community.
In this hunt I ran into this:
"LIBER QOPH vel HECATE
Sub Figura C"
Has anyone run into this? Worked with it? What are your thoughts? Any notable results?"
I don't think it will serve any purpose at all, but in a Thelemic context I would not recommend a lunar adoration. The moon does not generate light but only reflects the light of the sun, and that poorly. To adore the moon would be to idolize illusion.
Also the author should have done his homework. The title of liber 100 (liber C) is already taken by Liber Agape.

Dzogchen@Modes said
"Maybe someone has a clue what is so deeper in Dzogchen than in Zen?"
The student asked the master “When there is no clutching or clinging, what of it?”
The master said “Surely the way is thus”
The student asked “And isn’t that the truth of our original nature?”
“Clutching, clinging” Was the reply.

At the end perhaps any such distinction between do what you want and do what thou wilt is meaningless? Just a thought. "Hehe, yes Alrah. In fact, it's funny how people speculate and ponder what's meant by "will" - what they *should *be speculating and pondering about is what's meant by "thou" "

Maria Montessori and Thelema@JNV33 said
"Excellent topic.
I've got a few years yet, but I'm already thinking about education for my 1 year old. "
Montessori starts at that age and younger I believe. Don't lose any time.

AL I:1-4@seekinghga said
"I think there is some significance to the fact that verses 3 and 4 from the first chapter of Liber AL are placed one after another, in that order. It's almost as if they were meant to be together as a continuous thought."
It was dictated as a continuous thought and only numbered after the fact.

Gurdjieff and the fourth way@Middleman said
"The first half of 'In Search of the Miraculous' is my favorite.
He's onto something with the Ionian scale but the models are archaic.G.'s own writing is coming from another world, much like AC.
Personally, I think people are vastly different now than in 1909.
I suspect it's a little easier for anyone to be a mystic or even awaken.
AC seems to anticipate this but G seems to be more pessimistic.I've found them to validate each other, though I only regard what I find useful.
There are many rumors of AC + G's meetings, most say G did not like AC.
AC visited G at least twice so there has to be more to it.I chose Thelema over 4thWay just because G seems stuffy and AC knows how to have fun."
Do what the wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
I think if anyone is pessimistic it's the followers of Gurdjieff, not the Magus himself.
I never made the choice between Gurdjieff and Crowley, to me both systems are one and the same. Each provides pieces of the puzzle that help shed light on the other. Gurdjieff's levels of spiritual being mesh beautifully with the grades of the A.'.A.'.
The only caveat I offer anyone studying both systems, or particularly Gurdjieff's system, is that the fourth way as it's presented in Ouspensky's books and by most modern practitioners focuses on the path from initiation to Geburah. It does contain in itself a seed to propel one across the abyss but it never divulges that and most I think never make the leap because they never figure out how to destroy the temple that the system teaches them to build. They get stuck in their own head. They have no living or written examples of an elevated man other than that given in Gurdjieff's 3rd book, but they always misunderstand that one. And they won't branch out and study other systems.
The fourth way system however, offers a vast wealth of ideas and techniques for a student of the western mysteries. Gurdieff's teachings on identification, polarity, parts of a center, and many others shed great light on the intricate workings of the tree and bring those workings into conscious awareness and out of the symbolic and subconscious realm at the edge of consciousness.

thelema & determinism@gurugeorge said
"
@Parzival said
"But what are your conditions for freedom? How do you define freedom? Do you agree with gunther that thelema is antithetical to determinism? Why?"No, as Jim pointed out (in other words) most people confuse fatalism with determinism. Freedom actually *depends *on determinism (in a random universe, freedom would be have no purchase)."
Could you give us a brief definition of what you mean by both?

Maria Montessori and ThelemaDo what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
I have recently enrolled my 3 year old in a Montessori school and I am amazed at the similarities between Maria Montessori's methods of teaching and the principles of Thelema, particularly with regards to the respect that is paid to the individual's will.
Crowley's essay on the education of children reads as if it could be written by the same hand as many papers of Maria's authorship.
I encourage anyone who has children under the age of 15 to explore the Montessori schools and their methods, particularly young one's, even down to a year old. Starting them early can make such a difference.

"93,
i'm curious what the relationship is there for you between the title of the book and liber al 1:57?
i looked up the book out of my own curiosity and couldn't find any info.
speaking of indians, happy thanksgiving... "
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
I haven't read the book, I just found a reference to it in some loose leaf notes that were stuffed in an old copy of equinox 5-1 that I got awhile back. I don't know that there is any connection at all but I thought it might be worth investigating.

TzMTzVM & GBVRHI think one of the greatest dangers with the QBL is the tendency to take the symbolism too far.
One must understand that it is all just symbols and one must understand what the symbols represent to avoid flights of intellectual futility.
