I just sit in the God posture and visualize myself as Hoor-Paar-Kraat seated on a lotus flower in the Nile. Pyramids are on the land reflecting the light of the sun beating down. Crocodiles are in the Nile but I'm protected by the blue/black egg. I'm supposed to sit like this for a while and identify with the godform, I'm just having a great deal of difficulty visualizing and was just wondering if there was any sort of tricks to this or if anyone else had a hard time with visualization when they started as well? Or if there might be some additional exercises to help train my visualization? In hindsight this wasn't a great question but I was curious if this was normal or if anyone else experienced this when first starting out.

Assumption of Godform -
Assumption of Godform93,
I am currently working with Rodney Orpheus' book Abrahadabra and I am having a large amount of difficulty assuming the godform of Hoor-Paar-Kraat. I am supposed to do it in my chosen asana that I started with (God Posture) and do some visualization with my thumb pressed to my lips, which is hard on it's own to maintain but I assume this will become less difficult with time just like my asana. I was just wondering how difficult this was or is for any of you? I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I just suck horribly at visualization. I'm hoping it will just get easier but I can only hold it for 4-5 mins max before I give up because I feel it's going nowhere fast. Any advice or accounts of your own experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

Elements and directionsI have been working through the Rodney Orpheus book Abrahadabra and I just had a couple of questions. I remember reading about it a long time ago and now I can't find it again. Why are the elements attributed differently than anywhere else? Normally it is: East=Air, West=Water, North=Earth and South=Fire. This book gives it as: East=Earth, North=Air, West=Water, South=Fire. I was also wondering why it instructs you to use your thumb for the Sign of Silence and drawing the pentagrams instead of your index finger?

AsanaDoes anyone here agree with the idea that you shouldn't eat before asana and that in the morning upon waking up is the best time for it? I have found the opposite to be true, when I'm not full my stomach hurts, I sweat a lot and I feel way more itchy and fidgety than when I have food in me. And also how straight should your back be in the God asana? If I straighten it to the point where it feels straight I get sharp pains through my back.

Meditation for BeginnersSorry if this question has been asked before but do any of you know of a good meditation to do for beginners? I am very new to the actual practice of mysticism and would like to find a meditation to warm up those "muscles" before I jump into the more difficult stuff. How did you guys get started?

TOT and COT in TorontoThank you for letting me know, I will do that.

TOT and COT in TorontoI have and they are sending me some information and an application in the mail. But I did not receive an answer as to how often they meet and how many people are involved. It's not really important at all I was just curious as to what to expect. What is important is the system not how many people are a part of it. Thanks for your reply.

TOT and COT in TorontoHey I was just wondering if anyone here knows how active the Temple of Thelema and College of Thelema are in Toronto Canada? How often are meetings and how many people are involved? Sorry if this is a dumb question and if it is in the wrong location.

Keeping a diary.Thank you very much. I was thinking that this was the way to go but it's nice to be verified.

Keeping a diary. Is there a particular way to write dates into your diary? Should I be using the Thelemic dates for every entry because Luna changes it's degrees continually? Should I just do this once for the day even if it has changed at a certain time of the day? Or does it even matter as long as there's some form of date even if it is in "e.v."? Sorry for such a newbie question and if it has been asked before. Thank you for any responses.

TyDP11Nice wordplay I live in the Durham Region area in Ontario Canada just outside of Toronto. I was thinking about joining the OTO in Toronto just to have a community and to meet some like minded people to befriend. The only things stopping me is that I don't know how often I could go (I can't drive yet) and the fact that it does cost money, however I'm starting to think it might be worth it.

TyDP11Hey I'm new to this forum so I thought an introduction was a good place to start. I've been reading about Thelema and related topics for a long time now and even did some meditations and rituals for a while but with no one that I know of in my area to discuss it with, and my girlfriend at the time hating it, I slowly stopped and now it's been a few years since doing anything. I'm seriously considering contacting the A.'.A.'. to get myself back on track because I was starting to feel really happy and fulfilled when I was involved. With this forum I'm just looking to find some good discussions and maybe even get some help if I get stuck with something. Of course it would be ideal if anyone knew of a group or individuals in my area that I could meet with for discussions and/or friendship. (I'm not holding my breath). If anyone has any questions about me or my history don't hesitate to ask, and thank you for welcoming me into this group.
