"Therefore fear not the Spirits, but be firm and courteous with them; for thou hast no right to despise or revile them; and this too may lead thee astray. Command and banish them, curse them by the Great Names if need be; but neither mock nor revile them, for so assuredly wilt thou be lead into error." —Liber Librae

Thelema is dead!Previously:
Me: “I practice Thelema.”
Them: “What’s that?”After Strange Angel:
Me: “I practice Thelema.”
Them: “Whoa! You’re in a sex cult?!”The main proponent of the Law is a sociopathic murderer.
The show sucks.

Chakra meditation - adviceSorry, I wouldn’t have expected a wide variety of attributions for this:
Muladhara = Saturn
Svadisthana = Mars
Manipura = Jupiter
Anahatta = Sol
Visuddhi = Venus
Ajna = Luna
Sahasrara = MercuryMore passively as compared to putting direct attention on the energy center. Yes, Muladhara, then Anahatta, then the rest from bottom up.
-
Chakra meditation - adviceChakras should be opened in this order: Saturn, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Moon, Mercury. This rouses Muladhara, then stabilizes in Anahatta before approaching the others from bottom up.
It is far safer to work with the chakras by meditating on them more passively, usually by meditating on the corresponding Tarot card, perhaps with the appropriate sounds and colors.

Unambiguous LBRP Results?After a bit of practice once I first started performing daily LRP work I found that the QC was vast and brilliant beyond my expectations, and the light it shed radiated beyond my personal space. This visual and the sense of location within other-than-usual realms was pretty unambiguous magick for me – a repeatable change in consciousness had occurred, without question. This only developed further as I continued and strengthened my practice.

How much of The Equinox is really necessary?There have been more initiates who haven't read The Equinox than who have, so I guess the answer to the question "how much of The Equinox is necessary for initiation?" must be zero.

"Is it cheating to wear a hat of some sort so as to soften the pain of corpse asana?"
No.
It appears impossible to banish the notion that pain is a necessary part of asana. The only requirement, as stated in Liber E, is to "sit perfectly still with every muscle tense for long periods." Typically the back should be straight. You can wrap yourself in bubble wrap and succeed in asana, just be sure to wrap it well so you remain flat.
As for bodily consideration, this is for your journal: note "the severity of the pain (if any) which accompanies it, the degree of rigidity attained, and all other pertinent matters."

The next saviour - AI?AI has no reason, it is pure logic. This is one of its downsides. Anyway, we don't need to be led into the Age of Reason, we need to be led beyond it, as the Hierophant follows the Emperor.
For "lightning" in those two Bible verses, read Lightning Flash as per Qabalah.
I think you're right that the lack of a place to lay one's head is a reference to a lack of corporeality. The Son of Man is the Ruach, Vav of Tetragrammaton, as distinct from the usual Guphiness of humanity, the final, corporeal Heh. Also, the Son is the Sun, which is the head.

LBRH QuestionsCrowley wrote "upright", not across. Point your finger upright, pointing toward the firmament. I don't know the reason for this modification you've found. I don't think it's a common mistake at all, but maybe I run with the wrong crowd. My best guess is somebody wanted to trace the water triangle first for this hexagram, but it's only a guess.
-
LBRH QuestionsLiber O is clear on both these points. "Stand upright, feet together, left arm at side, right across body, holding the wand or other weapon upright in the median line." In your case, your finger is the weapon.
Your Hexagram is correct insofar as direction is concerned (though not for the reason you think), but the instruction you copied shows the triangles are drawn in the wrong order, i.e. the lower triangle should be traced first. Again, see Liber O.

"Love is the law, love under will" meaningAnother way to read this is Love as the foundation, or ground, of Will. The unity of all life is the field whereon Will operates. The connection of all life is the means by which Will is capable of infinite extension in infinite direction.
We have seen that "there is no law beyond Do what thou wilt." If Love is here stated to be the law, then Love = Do what thou wilt. The greatest act of love we can offer to ourselves, to humanity, and to the universe is to fulfill our purpose, entwined as it is with the purpose of the whole, and with every individuated aspect despite illusions of disparity.

What do you mean by "God," anyway?@dr. ski wampas said
"There is no evidence. If you asserting that god(s) do exist then I would wonder just what evidence you think you've got? If it were really convincing you wild be trying to prove it to people. You claim that you don't care about convincing anyone (but yourself) that god exists or doesn't exist, and I will bet it's because you are aware of how weak or ridiculous your position would appear to sane people. That suggests to me that it barely convinces you. So just how can you be surely aren't totally fooling yourself?"
Nobody proves God to you, but you can prove it to yourself if you're willing to undertake the necessary training and practices to make it so. Scientific illuminism, in a nutshell.
(As a rule, people understand this about the physical sciences – one wouldn't expect a shoe maker to comprehend stellar dynamics, nor expect a physicist to explain quantum theory without the necessary use of specialized language – but when it comes to metaphysics people expect all the answers to everything right now in terms they understand. Blame the exoteric religions, perhaps, for discouraging independent consideration of the Divine.)
You want proof that there are seeds within an orange, but unless you're willing to peel the thing and dig through the pulp you're just going to see an orange ball, and apparently in your case rail against those who have gotten their fingers sticky.
You seem to be an astonishingly angry man. I'm sorry.
