27. Radiant God! Let me fashion an image of gems and gold for Thee! that the people may cast it down and trample it to dust! That Thy glory may be seen of them.
In their trampling, they embody the God who casts down images of (him)self.
"That Thy glory may be seen of them."
Not "by" them but "of" them. Interesting. They manifest the God's glory themselves in the act of destroying a false image.
At least that seems one way to play that "of." You think?
