Upon first reading - possibly - the scribe, a man, having gone through preparations for this event of union with the angel, still was shook up and had a hard time enduring the whole thing. Bearing the Light of the angel probably isn't an easy job
It isn't for the children, i.e. those who haven't been prepared by some type of process of Initiation in this life or another. Preparation and transformation are the prerequisites for being able to endure the lightning flash and hone it to further the process.
