The result of being a "prophet" sounds severe - cries, scourges, and perilous journeys. When we are looking for the culmination of our journey the obstacles we encounter, within our minds, cause the ordeals of the "prophet". The "prophet" is one who is an expression of God and who carries the Word into the world. In fact, we all are this, whether we know it or not and we each express this in the resulting light that pours through the prism of our individuated selves. These obstacles are the tools we have as aspirants to find that which we await. When the dust is settled and our consciousness is focused we can then take the proper posture and await the Angel.

I see this as a promise: those who attain to 5=6 (Adepts) must - as a natural flow of human development, as process of spontaneous ripening and greater maturity - face the ordeals of Geburah and of Chesed, and subsequently be drawn into crossing the Abyss.
