What is self?
What is interest? What is in your best interest? Does anyone truly know?
I say I know who truly knows.
Myself Made Perfect whom no man hath seen at any time.
My future self knows what's best for me today, but does the current self? Does the mirror self? What is interest?

Ah my love
Of words to hear
The bells that clamor
In my ear
Questions questions

Are very nearNothing is the self at all
But dreams and illusion
To fill the hall
Of a heart that is
Inbeween
All that which canot be seen
But look instead
With eyes a bright
And wash the dream
Out of sight
A bridge was built
Across an abyss
Of nothing
To somthing

What is self?"I know you love words and have an excellent command of language Takamba. I know as well that you allready have digested these questions and are not looking for me to answer them for you, but are asking with interest to have me look into what you are saying.
I learned a distiction in sight the other day. How one actively looks or passively sees. Very interesting distinction and helped me think with more clarity.
I dont think people see perfection at anytime. Im not sure thats possible. To see is passive...and any time..implies fluidity all time . But yet I might be inclined to think that if someone looked at something actively, like a particle or a person, at that moment of pin pointed prescion the object looked upon would be perfect. But once the vision slacked back into seeing....well the perfection is blurred.
Like the magic eye pictures you helped my mind look into and see.

Im sure you know this question got under my skin.
I surely know though that you didnt write it to be mean or nasty."No, I did not write it with mean intent.
"Your choice of the word pittance makes the statement seem ugly. Yet pittance is a noble word. Comes from piety and denotes compassion and tenderness and loyalty and another word you dropped elsewhere Duty.
It is our Duty to Do What Thou Wilt."
That is fine. It is not my interest to condemn anything. My point is this. If you create a forum where people come to and look up to you and your words, then you vanish without a trace, then something is not right about that.
"What are my personal interests? Where do they lay and come from? What is the source?
The primal personal interest is autonomy. Staying alive. Thats the first interest a living being has and it is the one that all acts of Will come down to. Actions that will keep us alive. It may develope over time to a preference for rye toast and butter with peanut butter on top or some other unique quirk that defines our preferences but the root is to be found in our authentic autonomous self. The baby is expelled from the womb and is now an autonomous creature who has needs to be met. So it cries and gets fed and thus the magic begins of Will.
Thats as personal as it gets. The individual has the Will to live and the Will to Do what it Will to keep living. It is born with the interest to live and feels the inalienable right to assert itself to stay alive.
Time goes on.
The Right to live develops overtime into complex psychological dynamics that the Autonomous individual incorporates into its being as what can be called defensive mechanisms, manipulations, projections, behaviors and thought patterns that are channels for the Will to stay alive and not only just survive but thrive in a world that is filled with hosts of others doing the same autonomy protection assertions of will.It is not only my right but my duty to do my will to preserve my pittance of self interest. It is everyones right and duty to do so. If something is threatening your very existence, real or unreal as it may be the Will to exist demands action to sustain existence.
On a personal level for example: My father signed my name on a host of legal documents with out my knowledge. The police came and asked me about this. I had no idea and was threatened by some very serious jail time. My autonomy was threatened. My liberty was threatened. I decided it was best for my personal interests to not communicate with my father (who was the apple of my eye) because I needed to work through my emotional reaction. It took years. I had a duty to myself and to my children that superceeded my personal interest in having a relationship with him.
My exhusband had the right to give up on his children and his wife because in his mind (his world) we threatened his very survival, his will to live. He gave us up because his Will demanded him to do his Will and Duty to his authentic autonomous self. The construct he created about our relationship and life in his world (his mother and family ect) was such that he cannot relate to us and have that personal interest sustained....
Those are some fall out examples of what happens in relationships when clear lines of communicating personal interests are not forged between people. If my father had openly told me before hand about his business....I would have never been threatened by the police.
If my ex had openly told me about his choices and feelings and beliefs he may have saved himself from feeling suicidal and homicidal.
It is hard to do sometimes. This "giving up" letting go moving on business. The mind makes it so. The mind is our conditioner that tool we use to stay true to ourselves. Our Fidelity to our personal interests. The mind though is not a muscle. It is just a secretary to that which is the Will the muscle of life. Our mind filters our perceptions and impressions and forms connections and correlations and reasons and becauses.
Like a slave driver. Slave drivers are hard. The heart of the matter though is what causes that abrupt 180degree turn in a path and makes giving up something effortless. When the heart feels it acts. Immediately. Beat after beat after beat after beat. It feels the lack of oxygen and beats. It feels the cold and beats. It feels the hunger and beats. And beats and beats and beats. Regardless of the where the mind is the heart feels the pittance of self interest and gives up by its very contractions and releasing.
I had an incident a while back where a woman came and in a very real and nasty way tell me I did not have the right to exist. She threatened my authentic autonomous self and I by right and duty let her know I disageed with her premise.
I will in a heartbeat give up that which I feel is not sustaining my pittance of self interest. My pittance to my self interest is my very first duty.
As it is to all
Do what thou Will
Always and all ways"I can't but agree!
Love is the law, love under will.

Dear Brother....
I will tell you that there is nothing wrong.
Jim...
Unlike me...
Gives his real first and last name.
He gives his website and a bunch of links to other places where he can be found.I needed him last spring when I felt like I am being ripped in two. I found him. He helped me.
If that apirant there in those threads truly needed him and his words and input he would not be put off by a lack of response on this forum.
Back in the day...
You knocked on the door and it didnt open till you knocked everyday for a year.If that person was earnest in his quest then he will be greeted by an open door one day. And maybe Jim will open it and maybe you will or maybe Guy Smiliey will. But if you truly need to have that door open you must knock and knock and knock till your knuckles bleed and rip and you almost forget what it was you wanted.

I apologize for my short reply earlier. I had to work today. Anyways, thank you for your perspective. I'll keep it in mind and drop this line of discussion. I'm glad that Jim has helped you. He once did the same for me as well.
