This forum may be inactive (and it's been a long while since I've seen Jim comment here), but it doesn't mean that Thelema itself is dead."It's dead if you see it dead. If you see it alive, if it flows through your nadis like a hippopotamus through a straw then it is very much alive.
"
I agree.
Perhaps he meant that Thelema is dying, in the sense that the amount of Thelemites is decreasing - and in that case, I would like to see proof for that, because it is quite difficult to know the religious philosophy of every man and every woman on the planet. -

The Crowley in this showing is of the older variety, about five or so years before his death. The actor is Angus Macfadyen (aged and shaved bald). He's not as pale as I expect Crowley to be, but it could have been the California sun. Sexy is in the eyes, which hints madly at a man's power. His swagger and certainty of speech are results of learned behavior related to how the outside world treats a man - this Crowley does not slur, is not feeble, and obviously wields power.
Sexy, not sorry.

I've watched both seasons last weekend, and I kinda liked it.
I mean, yeah, it has a lot of inaccuracies:- Misconceptions of True Will and True Self
- Referring to the O.T.O. as "the Agape" (which is but a lodge of the O.T.O.)
- A ridiculous performance of a shortened version of the Bornless Ritual
- Lots of BS regarding the Abyss and the Crossing thereof (except for what Crowley said about it, which was quite vague)
(and more)
But it would make people interested in Thelema, and then they may read and be able to tell what the series got wrong.
And even if the series left a bad impression on some people, it would not do more harm to Thelemites than what has already been done.
