    Hello,
I'm considering joining Thelema in Europe. I already have a history of interest in the occult, and I was practicing certain native spirituality for a few years (I'm in my 20s, not initiated). I like it a lot, but it turned out not to be ideal in European setting, and so I'm looking for something to complete it.

Sadly I'm having a lot of mental health issues akin to ADHD: I can't quite focus, have depression and anxiety. It is pretty serious; daily functioning is a rollercoaster of emotion and not much is accomplished. Overall I've been pretty miserable, for a while now.

I don't know the exact reason but I hoped to mix modern Western and more esoteric means to fix that. But looking at Thelema and ceremonial magick I'm not sure if that could help me much, and having more traditions and journeys outside of Europe is too much to commit to.

So how does magick look in Europe? Is any advanced energy work taught at higher stages? I'm not familiar with ceremonial magick so I'm not sure if it could address deep energy imbalances and blockades the way Hindu or Chinese systems might. Surely at a higher level there must be some completeness in regard to that? So I suppose I'm hoping you could advise me what path to take in Europe so that with practice I could get better.

I'm interested in spiritual development but it's also hard to progress when daily functioning is impacted.

Magick, done intentionally and slowly, will unearth the root causes of mental health challenges, train the nervous system to be a mechanism of expression, and reveal purpose. That being said, those ordeals are not easy and should not be minimized.

Daily practice, personal accountability, and consistency build resilience over time. I also recommend a good trans-personal psychologist.
