Question on the Point #2 of I.R.'s G.D. version of the LBRP

Out of the ten or fifteen published versions of the LBRP that I have, I think only the version in Regardie's, "The Golden Dawn" has a an optional part two. On page 54 (pg. 108 of the old) it states,
As a protection against impure magnetism, the Banishing Ritual can be used to get rid of obsessing or disturbing thoughts. Give a mental image to your obsession and imagine it formulated before you. Project it out of your aura with the Saluting Sign of the Neophyte, and when it is about three feet away, prevent its return with the Sign of Silence.
So my question is where does one insert this in the ritual? After the Q.C. but before the Banishing? or do the whole banishing ritual first, then inserting this other part, do another banishing, then close with the Q.C. as usual?
