when to count Aleph?

    why and when do you drop the second A? would you ever count both (ADAM) or none (DM)?

    You don't "drop the second A." It was never there 😀

    "Adam" isn't being analyzed as an English word, but as a Hebrew word. In Hebrew, it is spelled Aleph Daleth Mem.

    What you need to do is learn to read Hebrew, and look up (in a Hebrew dictionary or lexicon) how each word is spelled.
