on obtaining samadhi

this one goes to the experienced. i am young and am planning on setting my life around the system of the aa. is samadhi attainable while trying to live a domestic life or should i secure a portion of money which will enable me to study under a guru without having to worry about finances at all?? thanks...

I'm not an A:.A:. initiate, but the A:.A:. path is about progressing while you live in the every day world (aside from brief periods of retreat).

Yes, it's attainable while trying to live a domestic life. That is, it's been done by a number of people, so it's therefore possible.

There may, however, be a need for some period of retirement. That is somewhat dependent on the person, although, in most cases, some dedicated period of retreat would be highly advantageous.
