Variation in four quarter attributions: What's the deal?
-
I've been recently experimenting with the Ritual of the Mark of the Beast and some of the quarter attributions are confusing. I understand the general quarter attributions of the Lbrp differ from the Lbrh because the Lbrh is operating with sephirotic or planetary energies as opposed to elemental, but what is with the Ritual of the Mark of the Beast? Does it operate on a higher level since it is dealing more directly with the energies of the new Aeon? If so then would it be more appropriate to conclude with the lbrp or lbrh? Or am I completely off? Any guidance or information would be appreciated.

There are many different schema for this sort of thing. I don't consider this as a "higher level" - but it is quite different.
The schema in the Lesser RItual of the Pentagram (and G.D. First Order work in general) is called the Microcosmic scheme. It is based on the letters of the name Adonai (A.D.N.I.) clockwise from the East.
The original (and IMO better) version of the Star Ruby is based on the primary G.D. Second Order schem called the Microcosmic scheme. It is based on Y.H.V.H. counter-clockwise from the East.
The form that was used for Liber Reguli (and the later form of the Star Ruby) is based on Y.H.V.H. in reverse order, counter-clockwise from the East. It shows an ascent of the Element as (for example) from Malkuth upward.
