Greetings everyone!
I'm fairly new to all aspects of magick but since diving in 8 months ago, my interest has only grown (along with my collection of books, both bought and borrowed). I'm very interested in Ceremonial Magic, Qabalah, and Tarot and have been doing what I can to learn all I can between life's unfortunate essentials (such as keeping a job).
I started with Modern Magick (it was suggested to me); but, after finishing the first read-through of the book, I felt the need for more substance and the desire to solve and fill in the blanks that the author admits to purposely creating or perpetuating for the reader to figure on their own.
I am part of a close-knit practicing group that spans an enormity of different backgrounds ranging all over the place from Shamanism, to (at least two traditions of) Wicca, Astrology, Ceremonial and Chaos magick. Everyone has a different point of view and different backgrounds and its very interesting to partake and witness other ways that I'm unfamiliar with. Everyone brings something different to the table and seeing different traditions working together constantly towards a common goal is really eye opening (for me, anyways) and is surprisingly not as chaotic as it probably sounds.
Thelema, so far, is the tradition that I feel the most pull to currently. Every time I read a work or a publication, I can't help but feel there's something there for me, or something that can help me grow. I'm not so sure what it is yet or what direction to begin (or continue), but that's what I'm here to explore.
