    LOVE
    Two of Cups

Meditation Pattern: Place Atu III, The Empress, and Atu VII, The Chariot, side-by-side, with the 2 of Cups above them.

Traditional Description: From water, which occupies the lower part of the card, rise lotuses. One lotus flower rises clearly above the water; and from this flower rises a stem, terminating near the top of the card in another lotus, from which flows a sparkling white water as from a fountain. Crossed on the stem just beneath are two dolphins, one silver and one gold, onto which the water falls, and from which it pours in full streams, like jets of gold and silver, into two cups that somewhat resemble the magical instrument of the Apprentice Adeptus. These cups, in their turn, overflow, flooding the lower part of the card. Symbols of Venus and Cancer are above and below.

Chokmah of Water: Water in its purest and highest form; the impulse or Word of Water; the Will-to-Love. Harmony of the union of masculine and feminine (or of any such polarities). Polarity relationship in love matters. Love, pleasure, marriage, reciprocity, reflection.

Venus/Cancer: Harmony, pleasure, mirth; an intensity of joy and ecstasy; powerful love feelings. If ill-dignified, folly, dissipation, waste, silly actions.

Chokmah + Venus: Arousing of love; a forceful pressure or impulse to emotional expression. Nature of affections governed by instinct rather than social convention, by impulse of Will rather than conditioning or logic.

I'll do these at least for a while, to see if they are useful. Can't promise to do them as reliably or quickly as Al-Shariyf has been doing his part. 😀

Couple things kept coming to my mind regarding this arrangement:

    1. The idea of taking on being responsible for well-being of someone or something "outside" of ourselves

    2. Love as an action stemming from an ongoing willingness to give up one's individuality for the fullfilment of the Primal Will.

I felt it necessary to revisit this post to flesh it out a little bit more.

My experience of the transition from Wands to Cups has been showing up as shift from an "I/Me-centered" perspective to a "You/We-centered" perspective.

My Will is fulfilled if/when yours is fulfilled. It can not be any other way considering in reality any sense of separation or difference between you and I is an illusion and a consequence of the Human condition.

This is showing up in my life is via an active and increasing interest in the dreams of others being fulfilled and being there for them and taking care of them. And in the process, remaining open to what other have to contribute to my own well being and the fulfillment of MY dreams.

This card brings to mind movement, flowing, charity even and it all originates from beyond. For me it's hard to look at this card without associating the top lotus with the zero and the 2nd lotus as 1/Kether.
