19th Aethyr - The Mystery of Ichthus
-
In Visions & Voices, in the Vision of the 19th Aethyr, I tackled a mystery of the Greek word Ichthus. I said quite a lot that I think is very good, but this post is about something I missed.
The text of the original vision said that a mystery of Nun and Qoph were hidden in the word by addition. I observed that Ichthus = 1,219, and adding these four digits 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 give 13 - the Death card or Nun - but that there was no corresponding mystery of Qoph n that way. (I went on to find others.)
Tonight I received a note from a Mr. Phil Campbell who noted - in a true doh! moment for me - that if you multiply instead of add you get 1 x 2 x 1 x 9 = 18... The Moon, Qoph.
Doh!

The superior I once had used to speak of this a lot. He always mentioned the importance of the word "Ichthus"
and the fish. He would expound upon it very specifically to me, but I still had trouble understanding because I was very young.
It's imprinted in my memory as being important, along with the idea that nothing, is no-thing and not nothing.
He did mention the relevance of the Path of Nun as related to the fish. But through my experience the most revealing visions
were of the scorpion, snake, and the eagle (all within 24 hours). I know the fish is attributed to Nun because of the watery nature of the path.
But I still feel there is more to this than meets the eye. I personally feel it's more about the Aeon of Horus as opposed to the Aeon of Osiris.
The fish representing Jesus Christ, a water symbol. Horus as a fire symbol and a hawk. I think that was very clever figuring out those numbers btw.
13 is the death card after all. Coincidence or not? That's profound revelation, the more I read through through it (Enochian Magick Duquette/Crowley)
and dissect it the more interesting parallels I find between the words and gematria.
