May 4 (Earth) Liber LXV, Cap. I, v. 57-58
-
**57. Then was the Adept glad, and lifted his arm.
Lo! an earthquake, and plague, and terror on the earth!
A casting down of them that sate in high places; a famine upon the multitude!
58. And the grape fell ripe and rich into his mouth.
**By the smallest of actions, raising the arm, is a great result attained. From destruction comes new birth. From chaos we can find order. When the tower is struck by the lightning flash only the forms are wasted away and what remains is that which we reap and enjoy. The influx of energy is intoxicating like the ripeness of grapes which leads my mind to wine and general intoxication.
