RHK gives what he wants, firstly, to be understood about him - a nature of war and vengeance. The breaking of old habits, old mindsets, old forms, is war like. Much like the Mars attributions on the Tree of Life it implies focused energy which could result in the destruction of forms not in harmony with the current Truth. This is a matter of fact, an act of nature, it is simply done. I take these old forms to be "them" that the verse refers to. The tricky thing is where our consciousness lies. If we are attached to that which is not in line with Universal Will then this force appears destructive. On the other hand if we fall more or less more harmoniously in line with Universal Will then this force invigorates us, spurs us to victory i.e. the "reward" of War.
