    THELEMA

you know i have been trying to look deeper into the charioteer or the chariot, and was wondering if anyone can help throw some light on the subject. here is what i basically got:

    1. the whole 418 current with the "holy gral" cheth and parzival. and the abrahadabra, mixture of the opposites.
    2. the card symbolism of riding the wheels of geburah with the canopy of binah above.
    3. he is a master of the 4 powers of the sphinx.
    4. he is a seeker of the holy gral

any other points i should study with the chariot and charioteer?? also is he like therion or hadit? is he the preist in the mass?

    thanks for the help

As part of the union of opposites thing...

I don't recall where I got hints of this, but it has come back to me as I study the angels of the sephiroth.

The chariot consists of wheels (Ophanim - Chokmah) attached to a throne (Aralim - Binah). So the combining of opposites, but in the world of Yetzirah (the world of the angels)?

thanks sasha i need to look more into angels, but i think the wheels definetely are related to geburah instead of chokmah. see the hebrew letter connected to the chariot is cheth which connects geburah and binah. geburah is red like the chariot's wheels, also the canopy is blue like the night sky that is nuit which relates to binah.

but i thank you for your input.

I haven't begun an intensive study of Tarot yet, so perhaps you're very much right. But just in case this sparks something...

We attribute Raziel as the archangel of Chokmah. Hir name means either herald or going forth of God. Ze goes forth on hir "wheels". We attribute Tzaphqiel to Binah. Hir name means beholder of God. Ze beholds God from hir "thrones".

The chariot, a throne with wheels attached, then "goes forth" from the supernal triangle, along the path of Cheth, to Geburah below the abyss. Does the driver of the chariot then "behold" something as well? I don't how that could work into it. Perhaps it does really only relate to Geburah and Binah, though I don't know what wheels have to do with Geburah.

    Just throwing possibilities out there.
