A syllabus for the "pre-probationary" period.

Whenever I look at all the books on that long list from Student to Adeptus Minor, I think, "Gah! Can't this be streamlined into a neat little package?"
I'm sure that was an annoying comment, but there are some books that just propel you forward by leaps and bounds and encompass a whole world of ideas, such as the book "Anatomy of the Psyche" Chris sent me. In my entire collection, I've been looking for a single book which might interest her in return and I don't really have anything that compares to it that she hasn't already read, I'm sure. It's just an all-encompassing book explodes The Great Work open plain as day. -
That's definately a long syllabus.

Not when the purposes include wide exposure to depth and breadth of the related traditions.

The traditional Rosicrucian Liber M does that.

Sure, but that's not the kind of thing you could stick on a bookshelf.

Well, you have a point there.

Timing out? You mean not resolving? 404?
That's quite bizarre - the server it's on hasn't been down all day and has enough bandwidth available to serve a few hundred such sites - and it's a very lightweight page. I'm inclined to suspect some problem on your local machine. (Even more bizarre because you can reach the current page - on the same server - which is a much more demanding page to render.)

Try this: www.ordoaa.org/studlist.htm
But, yeah, that's the list. But you can also find lots more on that site.

Hi Sasha, I tried the link and it worked fine as did the same one that I posted. Well, he can always try just going to the main page www.ordoaa.org and then click on student syllabus.
One book that I suggest to people is Dion Fortune's Mystical Kabbalah. I must have read it 10 times. It's easy to read, even for someone with little experience, and it explains the subject which is the blueprint for much of what we do. If someone showed some interest and asked me I would probably suggest that one before any Crowley books (depending on their level of course.)

Thanks everyone, I must have had some spyware or something because after I posted that, every time I tried to use a contraction the ( ' ) button would bring up a weird toolbar that wouldn't allow me to type anymore. I took care of everything though, and it seems to be working fine now.
Also, I found this website that has a lot of occult books available in pdf format. If anyone's interested athenaeum.asiya.org -
I have obtained the syllabus for the curriculum of the A A, my question is "What is meant by Collected Works of A. Crowley?" Was this a book or set published under that name, if so does anyone have a link? Thanks

Yes - a set of three books exceptionally edited and crafted volumes which collected most of his poetry and essays prior to 1909. The actual title to search under is The Works of Aleister Crowley. One link:
