Some preliminary observations:The chart shows that you are more ideological - more an idea man - than, say, a jock. Jupiter and Neptune dominate the angles, and the luminaries are Sagittarius-Cancer. (BTW you may want to see the post I made on Sun in Sagittarius in the Astrology forum.)
This is a lot of Jupiter - since it rules Sagittarius and is exalted in Cancer. And Neptune is similar to a particular side of Jupiter. They are philosophical, idea-oriented, lean toward magical thinking more than scientific thinking (are more likely to be an actor, communicator, professor - or use that sort of trait and thinking in one's work - than to be a scientist, physician, etc.
In the affections, Jupiter tends to be diffuse, broadly affectionate and friendly rather than focussed and passionated. It can be ambitious, in the sense of "striving to have and be the best," but Neptune on the Midheaven shows that there is some "diffusion of goals and sense of identity" to overcome first.
Against this, the Mars ergie - the overall Mars quality of the chart - is fairly week. Mars itself is in its own sign, Scorpio, which is a good healthy place for it to be; but it is away from the angles (though not excessively so - it's in a "moderate" area called Middleground, neither feast nor famine on Mars traits). Besides that placement, neither Scorpio nor Aries (the two Mars-ruled signs), nor even its exaltation sign Capricorn, is represented strongly in the chart - say, by luminary placement. (Mercury and Venus in Capricorn just don't cut it!) Mars doesn't aspect either luminary, and its only serious aspect is a rather wide sextile to Mercury.
So Mars is not one of those planetary energies that is naturally strong in your character. You evidently don't need much of it to fulfill your real purpose in life or actualize your core nature - but it's good to have access to all the energies for those times we need it.
And that brings us to my second question... Why did you pick now for this experiment?
The only major transit to your Mars about now is, ironically, Saturn - and it is just not getting ready to come within a 1° orb. (Saturn will square your Mars exactly in the last few days of August.) Now, I don't know when you started your experiment, but Mars itself did transit to opposite your natal Mars August 5. As an exact transit, that might have kicked things off; and as a "phase" expression, i.e., Mars having completed another half-orbit from its birthplace position, it would show a point of reassessing the Mars side of your being and perhaps taking action arising from that, with the idea that it could come to fruition some months from now when Mars returns to conjoin its natal position.
That's not much from the transit side, though. And secondary progressions don't show anything I find useful either. In fact, at least one contrary indicator is present: This week you're having a progressed Moon-Venus aspect which should have been expected to emphasize the estrogenous side of your personality, strong feeling, intense affections, etc.
Actually, that does touch on something I missed in the natal chart and should have commented on. You have a close Moon-Venus opposition. It's in a week part of the chart, but the aspect itself is close and involves the Moon. Whether male or female, this aspect indicates someone in whom a (traditionally viewed) female side is much more pronounced and natural - something reinforced by the essential absence of Mars. Feelings run very strong with this aspect - and whether this is an easy, affectionate, charming temperament, or one that gets itself into a lot of emotional trouble, turbid feelings, not understanding oneself and acting on strong and confusing impulses - depends on the extent to which one accepts and is comfortable with what is popularly called a "female side." Add that the Cancer Moon has a strong affectionate, feeling, even distinctly maternal side, and the pattern is made even stronger.
That's my assessment of the natal - and for the timing, I'm led to wonder if maybe the Moon-Venus side wasn't asserting itself stronger than usual (since progressed Moon is squaring natal Venus), and your conscious choice was a reaction to that.

I find that post on Sun in Sagittarius interesting, I find some of those qualities exemplified at this point in my life. It's interesting how it affects the gender roles especially. The reason I began this experiment now is: About a month and a half to two months ago I started perceiving some deficiencies due to the way I was raised (single mom, Not too far above poverty line.) I decided the strength of my gender was one of the things I lacked that I really wanted. Around that time I remember creating the perfect woman for me in my head in all her attributes with submissive being one of the most important.
So, about 2-3 weeks ago, I met this girl that I work with who is all of the things I asked for, exactly. We started dating, and the first time we were together I acted exactly as I had always wanted to act, that is how I think of Archetypal male sexuality. And, it turns out she loved it, and I loved it too. I think that this was a sign that I should go ahead and begin the working I have previously described.

"This is a 35 minute change in the birthtime. Some key things remain unchanged, others are dramatically changed (e.g., Sun is on the Midheaven and there is no longer a rising Jupiter or culminating Neptune - though the Jupiter ergie is still strong due to the Sagittarius-Cancer luminaries. Pluto is setting. So Sun-Pluto is on the angles instead of Jupiter-Neptune.

As a side note: on my bungler magick days, I did <once> not quite the same, but something similar. I tried to boost me up with masculine archetypal energy, primarily using "Therion". For two and a half hours or so, I was... well, extremely masculine. IMMEDIATELY AFTER these two hours, the EXACT opposite occured- the gayest hours of my life. Luckily, only few people where watching.

Related to this topic: Is there a good invocation of Therion out there? I tried googling but didn't find anything. Could I use the invocation of Pan from MTP as an invocation of Therion? Or is this another case where if I want something done right I'm going to have to do it myself?
