Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

I started collecting them earlier this month. Though not quite finished, a majority (were?) at used book stores via the Barnes & Noble website. Ebay is the best place if you want to impress your guru by lugging around the 10 original volumes.
Got to have a CC though. Any branch of a major bank should be able to open a checking account for you for $100.00 that includes a check card gauranteed by one of the major CC companies. You can just shut it down after you're done.
Love is the law, love under will.

Providence has it. I found out that there is several members of the soror estai lineage here in my city and neighboring areas. It seems luck has turned in my favor regarding my magickal advancement.

As if your magical advancement had anything to do with other people?? They can only help point the way to what you need to do yourself anyhow...

Haha, you always seem so anti-establishment, Thelema wise. Yes, it IS the work of the individual that will get them there but having someone who has walked the path ahead of you is certainly a nicety. There is no sense in reinventing the wheel or tripping over the same branch when you can have some one point it out to you beforehand.
Aside from the Book of the Law, perhaps we should never read anything else. Heaven forbid something help you.

Thats presupposing that someone else could have walked the 'path ahead of you' as if your and their path looked anything alike in reality... Each person has their own 'branches' to trip over, and it is in the weathering of the storm that your strength arises. The greater the trial the greater the triumph. But, as always, There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt. They can only beat that into your head so hard before you realize its efficacy (and truth).

I do agree that two paths will never be truly alike but there are similar obstacles to over come. If not, then what was the need for publishing the Vision and the Voice? Why publish any grimoire?

Someone publishing a book for you to read is entirely different than being an authority in an order you join... I do hope you can see the difference. Aside from this, a work like Vision and the Voice serves many purposes, one of which might remotely resemble the role you would expect from an authority in an order...

...and that was my point exactly. Why is it so much better to receive instruction from a book but bad from a person? I feel the more sources the better. A book can't give you feedback, however, which is one benefit of having an instructor.
