The Beast

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I may be way off base here, but is the term "The Beast" roughly = the qabbalistic "Ruach." (ie concordance of sephiroth 4-8 in the self... memory, will, imagination, desire, reason.)
If so, is this the case only after initiation, or also before. Or perhaps this is only accurate after 5=6?
Many thanks to all.
Love is the law, love under will.

The term can be used at various levels. For example, Crowley did sometimes use it to describe his own lowest aspects. But as a spiritual ideal, it's a much higher idea.
Not Ruach in the ordinary sense, but it could be used as the enlightened, awakened Ruach.
The best (that is, deepest, purest) use of it, though, I think, is as pretty much equivalent to Chiah. It's Chokmah as mate of Babalon in Binah.
