Required Equinox

Nudoro has it right. (Although No. 11, i.e., III:1, "The Blue Equinox," has some very important things, and The Holy Books of Thelema probably should be included for its own sake.)

"...yes Aum418, thank you for that. I was referring more to the period of 3 months...it has to begin somewhere & I'm assuming it is to be documented...

You need all the books to be eligible to be a Student. You need to formally apply to whatever arbitrary A.'.A.'. you think is best once you have the books.

I have applied several times but never gotten a response...do you have to apply so many times to be recognized? I feel like those Sufic aspirants who travel several hundred miles(or, in my case, spend a few hundred $$$ on a library) to meet their teacher only to be told to come back in a year...any suggestions?

ROFL I don't know.
I have read a lot of people complaining about the AA never responding. One would think Adepts could reply to snail mail effectively.

I think you just need to be patient. There is a lot of people that aspire to join the AA, take a particular branch's time to bring them on, and then don't do the work. You also have to understand that the AA branches are run by people who have their lives, outside of running the AA, to live. I know that it seems Jim is a really busy guy. I applied awhile ago to join his branch and it's been awhile since I've heard anything, but I'm being patient.

Kuniggety is right as far as I can tell about PATIENCE! I waited a whole year after first making contact with my lineage before being accepted as a "student" officially, I thought it might have been the end of my "probationer" year but no such luck.. One thing I might add is that I did slowly accumulate all of the printed texts on AC's required student reading list for the A.'.A.'. but my lineage had updated it quite a bit for the current times so if you're strapped for cash like I was ya might want to wait until you have a specific reading list from the particular line to which you're applying. You can embark upon it on your own certainly and read all of the original selections which are all most definitely profound. I think the most important thing is just putting it out there to the universe how serious you are about studying and what you would like to manifest into your life... Blessed be!
