Man being veiled in woman form

Hello all!
I always wondered about that particular line from the Gnostic Mass. Does that refer to a Qabalistic formula or just a kind of poetry?
Thank you!
It's essentially poetry - but I think the point is usually missed.
The simple meaning of the phrase is: Being veiled in Form. It then characterizes (I suppose consistent with the pillars of the Tree of some cognate model) that Being is male and Form is female: Man-Being veiled in Woman-Form.
