    Brothers and Sisters,

I am new to Thelema and am wondering if anyone can help me get more information on the Liber Oz, Seal of Babylon symbol:

    ekhetmaat.com/wiki/images/Oz_text.gif

I know that it is connected with the Liber Oz chapter itself and the obvious male generative genitals. However, how did Crowley interpret "666?" Also, what is the significance of the septagram with the four points up and three points down? Is it simply "matter" over "spirit" as I've read elsewhere? It seems like there should be more to it that just that but if it is that definition then could someone go into a bit further? Thanks for any help that you might be able to provide. 93.

    Colorado Mystic,

Crowley interpreted '666' to mean 'Little Sunshine' on account of 666 being one of the magical numbers of Sol, the others being 6, 36, & 111.

    Arsihsis,

Thank-you much for your information. Any information on the four points over the three on the septagram?

Traditionally, a single point atop the star denotes masculinity, two points denotes femininity.

Much appreciated. So perhaps the symbol can be in part symbolized as the union between male (the penis in the symbol) and the female (the two points on top)?

    From 777:

" 666. Last of the numbers of the sun. SVRTh, the spirit of Sol. Also OMMV SThN, Ommo Satan, the Satanic Trinity of Typhon, Apophis, and Besz; also ShM IHShVH, the name of Jesus. The names of Nero, Napoleon, W. E. Gladstone, and any person that you happen to dislike, add up to this number. In reality it is the final extensionof the number 6, both because 6 x 111 (ALPh=111=1)=6 and because the Sun, whose greatest number it is, is 6"
