Greetings and salutations. For anyone who wonders, or just misinterprets, the "I am I" quote is from Queensryche, not anything religious or spiritual.
In the spirit of the rest of this intro section, here I am. I'm 27, and have been practicing magick for over twelve years. I started with the ever-popular and oft-debated Necronomicon of Simon, and quickly found Thelema to be more useful and comprehensible. I still, however, use the Necro for some of my magick, as well as the Keys of Solomon, and whatever else seems to offer something interesting to at least give some time and experimentation to. I've been keeping detailed magickal records for most of the twelve years I've been practicing.
My occult interests include evocation, skrying in the spirit vision/astral travel, tarot, I Ching, invocation of various spirits, and, inspired by Austin Spare, the use of painting/sketching as an alternative to ceremony.
Aside from magick, of course, I have other interests. I am a regular wargamer (of the old, SPI simulation-type school), a writer of odd bits of prose and poetry (none published), an avid fan of many kinds of music, ranging from Sarah McLachlan to Morbid Angel, a painter, and an amateur mountain climber/spelunker.
This may sound like bragging, but it isn't; having so many interests, one finds it difficult to master any of them. I, personally, claim to be a master of nothing. For now, I'm a wanderer in the wastes of civilization, though I've put in application with an A:.A:. as one means of trying to rectify that wandering. Working without an order, it seems, I'll be eternally the equivalent of a Probationer. (How does one advance in grade if there are none to verify the accuracy and success of one's attainments? Even with the most meticulous record, we are still capable of self-delusion.)
But, this is long winded enough, and I'll be lurking about these boards to occasionally post other ramblings, so I shall let it be, for now.
Love is the law, love under will.
