Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
hello from england here, just thought i'd better break the ice.
I am 29 years old male, interested in Magick&qaballah, Yoga, Martial arts including Batto jutsu and tai chi, playing old time fiddle, and drinking beer.
I am currently studying conservation and countryside management as I'm a bit of a hippy tree hugger really.
hope to make some new aquaintances here and maybe learn a thing or two.Love is the law, love under will

Hi there thanks for the message! sorry mines rather long winded lol its late and i rambled.
looking at your interests i wonder if you know much about your "chi ghost" ?? i couldnt find enough visual details to peice it together properly in a sense that relates to anything i'm accustomed to, but found the idea fascinating of what i could find out!
hope we bump heads again soon xx

i was watching this youtube documentary buy a guy who was teaching tai chi and about the chi ghost.... he gave an excersise where you stand up and touch your toes...go as far to the floor as you can... then sit back and visualise your "chi ghost" in its "chi world" doing the same thing...visualise it until the backs of the palms are touching the floor... gently bring yourself back.... open your eyes...and do it again...
every time the result is meant to differ (im quite flexible so i could do the palms right away, and the pesimist says "well you just stretched out your legs trying the first time!") ...but i get the theory and it was a LOT easier the second time...
the monk dude said "Let your Chi Ghost do the work for you" ... but try as i might that was the ONLY usable imagry on his channel and couldnt find it in that context again!!
(Although... my "Bastard" thinking took me somewhere else with it... we leave offerings for the voodoo deities that are good to us... i envisions my "chi ghost" going into pappa legba's family home..and filling his table with platter after platter of food and drink and many brown things as is his preference.. i dont know if it "did" anything as i didnt "ask" for anything, it was a gift, but it enalf made me feel GOOD... like i'd walked the land of the gods lolol)

Sounds like a variation on the practice of formulating the body of light to me, although I can see what you mean, its not too different from some types of tai-chi practice, although my own teacher takes a no nonsense approach to chi, rather than trying to pull ourselves up by our bootlaces he waits until we develop the sensitivity to manage internal energy.
As for visiting Papa Legba, that corresponds nicely with practices such as pathworking and assumption of god forms, the great difficulty in this is that the conscious mind tends to interfere with the vision, trying to make it conform to your expectations, I personally don't do too much of this type of thing at the moment because I am still working hard on basic concentration, I simply don't trust my Ruach to leave the images un-interfered with at this point.
If I want un-biased visionary material I use dream imagery which could be considered to be unrefined imagery, it wont conform with whatever system you are using, but despite the extra effort in interpretation will generally be a more honest representation of internal imagery.
Out of interest who is Papa Legba? -
Pappa Legba or Ellegua In Voodoo/Yoroba/santeria (not sure of the fine details on that side) He is (the family of) Eshu... He meets you at the crossroads and can deliver your messages to other spirits, guide you on what spirit you may need to get in contact with, and bring messages back from them also... He likes a contribution, black coffee, a handfull of sweets, rum flavoured cigars, white rum to drink, tobbacco...i'm sure many others...
His Catholic Counterpart is St. Peter (all catholic saints were taken directly from haitan voodoo, the voodoo deities consider these their "mask" as many slaves were still able to worship thier gods "directly" through this imagry and be undetected)Its funny... the voodoo veves... you see a patern and maybe some sort of stick figure..but he DOES come to you, from the crossroads, and converses with you somewhat telepathy wise... I like him a lot, i'm drawn my own rendition of him and have to get the painting in circulation as soon as i've converted the sketch to oils. He wears a FINE hat and holds a walking stick and a FINE suit.
yknow i walked into Oshun's a day or two ago.. right before reading the above post after i awoke lol... when i realised my own thoughts were distorting the picture i just..well...didnt use that part of me to continue and it become very realistic....smiles.. i left her a gold gown and some purfume, and then filled her cuboards with ingrediants (She was Shongo's favourite wife because of her lovely cooking lol, amongst other things. - if you want to know about her i found a great link yesterday and put it over in genrel discusion today)... holding the images is hard but i find if i take my sweet time about it (ie smoothing out the wrinkles in the gown i'd placed on the bed) then the surroundings come by themselves....or i like to think so!!! ...if they can help me in my world..i'd like to bless them in thiers smiles i love your theory on it!
