Evidence Builds That Meditation Strengthens the Brain

Earlier evidence out of UCLA suggested that meditating for years thickens the brain (in a good way) and strengthens the connections between brain cells. Now a further report by UCLA researchers suggests yet another benefit.

Nice article, and not at all unusual. There's a lot of good research that shows physical changes in the brain from even a small amount of some kind of meditation. (If you think about it, that's no more surprising than changes in the muscles as a result of even a small amount of exercise.) The book How God Changes the Brain by Andrew Newberg and Mark Robert Waldman documents a lot of this.
