I am planning on applying to the A.'.A.'. and have just started to study the required books. I estimate I'll need about 5 months to study. My question is: If I contact the A.'.A.'. now, could I be a Student of the Mysteries for longer than 3 months if needed? Or should I wait until I only need 3 months as a student?Thank you in advance for any insight.

It's a minimum of three months.
Once you've reached the three-month mark, you may request examination.
