    Can someone explain what the hieroglyphs in Liber Lapidis Lazuli, Chapter IV, verse 44 are?

    Sigils corresponding to elements and subelements - from left to right -
    Air of Air, Wter, Earth, Fire, Water of Air, Earth of Air, Fire of Air, Air of Fire, Earth of Earth, Fire of Water, Fire of EArth, Water of Earth, Air of Fire, Water of Fire, Earth of Fire.

    Earth of Fire seems to say quite clearly "Such is the word," which is unusual for a sigil.

    ..er, is that right, Jim?

    What is the source of these sigils of the elements?

    So much of Liber VII is compIetely obscure to me. I am familiar with A.C.'s excellent commentary to Liber LXV. Does a similar commentary exist for Liber VII and is it readily available?

    @RegentLynx said

    "What is the source of these sigils of the elements?"

    They were written down during the original dictation. Their attributions were then in Crowley's commentary.

    "So much of Liber VII is compIetely obscure to me. I am familiar with A.C.'s excellent commentary to Liber LXV. Does a similar commentary exist for Liber VII and is it readily available?"

    It's very sparse. (Very!) It was given in one issue of In the Continuum - at present I don't emember which one.

    Thanks, some how I missed it in ITC, probably due to it's sparseness, will go back and search for it. I'm sure anything at all will help my comprehension. At least I hope so, for I've never been able to appreciate Liber VII the way I appreciate and am moved by Liber LXV.

    Thanks Danica, I was just preparing to use the Search Function on all issues of ITC but you saved me the labor 😀
    Off to check it out now.

    Why some comments by NEMO (in bold) don't appear in the ITC version? (compare to the following:)

    www.astronargon.us/LiberVII%20Commented%20New.doc

    Are they two different comments (one of them expanded)? Is my link reliable?

    Without comparing different documents side by side, it would be hard to tell; but since the provenance of the commentary at that link is unclear, I would be disinclined to trust it. (There are also some factual errors in the introductory remarks, so that lowers my confidence level about the document.)
