What's the deal with the big stain in The Book of the Law.

Was the stain there before or after the page was written on?

What exactly was spilled on the paper?

There is a small note at the top of the page that says"leave stain on paper-not in black".What does this refer to?

Maybe he was writing at a Starbucks and spilled his latte.

I'd hope he wouldn't drink in a chain store. More likely find a nice out of the way coffee shop run by mysterious foreigners 😲

What exactly is the meaning of the incongruent page numbering? if you will notice, the red page numbers are not always lined up consistantly with each other, the font does not carry all the way through.....some numbers in red on the pages fall slightly above the adjacent, while others noticably below....I know this is not my imagination, what does it mean?

Are you talking about a typeset edition, or the original handwritten manuscript? If the latter, then I'm very curious where you've seen a full-color reproduction! (There are hints that there's a good bit of interesting color in the MS; especially in the markups made after the original writing.)

Haven't seen it... but I suspect you should talk to the typesetter of that edition.
