    93,

I am looking to complete my Equinox collection & am having a hell of a time locating 3(7), 'Shih Yi'...I remember reading somewhere that it was available at TOT or COT - is this true? If not, does anyone know of a supplier?

Also, I read in the back of Falcon's edition of 'The Law is for All' that a reissue was being schedualed for 3(2)...does anyone know if a date has been set?

      93 616,

I'm not sure if there is a printed version of the 'Shih Yi.' If there is, its probably under the name 'Yi King,' but I still doubt it. There is definitely a Tao Teh King in print... and you can find the Yi King online in a few places, but you probably want the physical text

I have Tao Teh King - I have just never seen the other. I printed it(Yi King) out just for the sake of reading the text but I am looking to get a physical copy for my collection.

The only version in that form was published by Helen Parsons Smith. That's the official one. Yes, C.O.T. has a limited edition copy of Crowley's Yi King at one point - never intended to go past a few copies. (I think I can still lay my hands on my own copy, but that's about it.)

Personally, I think his translation isn't very useful and I far prefer the Wilhelm edition.

"Reissue" would be a misstatement. It was never issued. It reached galley stage in late summer 1919, but the galleys themselves have been lost (probably destroyed - they would have been on cheap paper not meant to last). What was intended was a reconstruction based on Crowley's notes of the sort of thing he intended to put in Vol. III.

            Jim,
Yes, the edition edited by Helen Parsons Smith is the one I am thinking of. Is there a chance of it ever being printed on a larger scale?...& is the reconstruction of 3(2) still underway?

I recently purchased a copy of Ritsema & Sabbadini's massive 'The Original I Ching Oracle' but have not had time to compare it with my Wilhelm edition.

            Thanks for the info.

              Don't know, and don't know.
