Nubian Slaves

Do Nubian slaves have particular significance concerning Tav?
In Cordis Cincti Serpente the blackness is likened to the tendancy or ability to absorb rather than reflect (vv 18 & 19). I am hesitant to apply that label to both because the term jet is not used in Liber VII and from Wikipedia: "The Nubian identity is a unique one. Although one people, the Nubians display a variety of complexions ranging from light-Mediterranean to dark-brown." but I don't think the term is just being thrown about.
Liber VII, chapter II, verse 11:
Thou art like a beautiful Nubian slave leaning her naked purple against the green pillars of marble that are above the bath.Liber LXV, chapter I, verse 20:
O my beautiful, I have likened thee to a jet Nubian slave, a boy of melancholy eyes. -
To 'Tav?' Of course, they have symbolic relations. Tav = Saturn = black, for one... And?
