How does one approach the Thelemic date with the sidereal zodiac in mind? Is one to note that sidereal astrology is being employed? If so, then what is the proper way to indicate it as such?

One ignores it. I never use Sun and Moon sign designations for recording dates. (This is only partly a zodiac issue. It's mostly that it's a very imprecise way of recording date and time!)
