I have never been bitten by one. They don't like me.
I was up north for a week at a cottage and decided to bring my tarot deck to have some fun with the in-laws. I had promised my sister in-law a reading.
During the reading I started talking about western esotericism and suddenly it was if a swarm of mosquitos entered the cottage.
For a full thirty seconds 5 people around the table did nothing but slap themselves as if they were amidst a full blown plague of the blood suckers. I stopped talking and packed the cards up and they stopped.

My conclusion is that people resist the idea that we have very real spiritual roots.

I'm curious... do you have a long-term history of consuming unusually high amount of Vitamin B?

no. As a rule I try to get my vitamins from food. I don't take vitamins or supplements. I can feel the mosquitos land on me, I think they have a hard time breaking my skin.
B's on the other hand have no problem penetrating me.
