Liber O/Astral Travel
-
I have began performing the Astral Travel method.
I was wondering if any one else has had success in doing this,I dont expect you to share experiences on a open form but im curious if any here has done this with success and if so what advice would you have for me.
I have to honestly say the method ive seen and used here is better than any other ive seen.
Once I transfer my conciseness to the to my double of my self thats created, I notice some very profound things with a strong form of separateness of my body, even thou the first time I did this last night was not successful, I still noticed the above which aside more than I can describe in words it was a good start.
Look to hearing some advice on this.

Thanks for your advice on that and like you I also have my own little method of keeping my attention to my other body once the conciseness is transferred.
As far as joining a order,I think this is some thing I can do on my own threw time and practice but oddly you say that,it was shown to me by the head or a surtant magical order:}

I've been trying to have a successful conscious "AP" for years and I've never done it But for all that, I find liber O to be concise even if it's a bit short on the fluffy reassurrance many New Age books on the method supply.
One thing I'd add, whenever I wake up "floating" at night which is a blessed but rare occurrence for me, I hear strange noises. Babbling noises which freak me out and I think are just personifications of my own fear. But I don't recall any warnings about scary noises, freaky entitities etc. being in Liber O. That's just my experience but I've heard it's common for beginners in AP. Maybe try banishing before bedtime?? One day I hope to get beyond it.

So unless no one is sharing, out of every one on this forum no one has Astral Traveled at all???
I would be disappointed if this is the case.
I know Astral travel is not the be all, is all but I think its a stepping stone in ones being to accomplish this.

I have Astral traveled... Actually it was coming to the point of not wanting to because of the intensity, and frequency of when, where, and how it would occur.
On the other hand, as far as working ritual "In the Astral", or "Astrally", I think there is quite a difference.
I think, if you feel that you are advanced enough to benefit, and are capable of doing so, do it. I have always found Liber O to be a lengthy and concise ritual. I prefer doing it in physical form. That is not to say that it is not being performed astrally at the same time

I have had an out of body experience, and astral travelled a few times. I can't exactly determine the difference, but there definately was one. For instance, in my OOBE, two others and I were in our Asana positions, doing Pranayama cycles for about 45 min. We had a relic in the center of our triangle, which had a candle in it, and each of us were sitting at one point each. We had brainwave music playing in the background, a very stimulating work called How Hollow Hart, by Dead Voices on Air. There was no chanting, or mantras, or any voice of any kind, even from the music. I had started working on arousing my Kundalini, but something happened, and it was not something that was intentional, it started with some sort of omnivision, where I thought perhaps the pranayama had caused me to get the spins, but it was a slow and controlled spin, and when my perspective came back to center, there was a slight pull, and an exact copy of myself was released from myself, I don't know how else to explain it, but I knew that it caused my heart rate to increase quite a bit. I remained in the exactly position as I continued to rise very slowly out of myself. I didn't want to move because I didn't want to mess anything up, and after a view seconds, I was completely free from myself. I continued to slowly levitate until I got to the ceiling of the room. From my projection, I could look from a downward angle at everything in the room, there was also another slow spin. Then I started coming back to my body. I wanted so badly to go further, but I had very very little control, I'm guessing because I didn't know what I was doing, and the whole experience lasted roughly 6 to 7 minutes.
On the other hand, I have had tremendous luck with the Middle Pillar Ritual allowing me to travel into the Astral, but not via a Body of Light as in the aforementioned experience. As I would work the ritual, I would start travelling into myself, and I always felt like I was travelling down a long winding tunnel, but once on the other side, I could move extremely fast or slow. One night I was visiting a friend, and I performed this ritual, and Astral Travelled the 30 miles back to the town I lived in, to my best friend's house, where I went in through the roof, to the living room, and looked around seeing who was there and what they were doing. The next day when I saw him, I asked him if x, y, and z was at his house the night before, and if they were playing Axis and Allies, and I described in detail one player in particular's turn, and what all he did, and that another of the friends was in the kitchen at the time making ramen. My descriptio nwas perfect.
So although one way I actually rose out of my body, the other is an inward journey that sets me free in another way, in which I have so much more control, where I have risen into the atmosphere, space, the stars....If anyone can clarify, I would be interested to hear opinions on what people think the differences are.

In response to Frater Pramudiya,
I too have had very similar experiences.
The clarification of what others are doing, etc.It would even, and still can, get to the point of, depending on how sparse, or dense my Astral body is, I can actually knock objects over... Bother, (Or play with/ observe) what others are doing, and get complete validation when in my physical state.
I can feel every fiber of my Astral body, or, rather, every fiber of the object (Door, ceiling, wall, etc) going through me. There is also an intense buzzing sound when this occurs.
I do agree, the OOBE, when going within, or without, (which to me is paradoxically the same really in my perception), that it is more 'Controllable'...If this makes sense:-)
I am always interested to hear others stories on this subject.
Pranayama and the middle pillar are definitely a HUGE part in this for me...And it tends to happen more often in the daytime hours than at night.Anyways...Enough BABALON on my part:-)
Looking forward to more interesting responses to this thread!!!
Best regards!

" This practice, without having any "Astral" advances, can revivify personal preponderance over your physical body, at the least."
Care to elaborate for others' benefit? What do you mean by preponderance? Thanks...

As far as benefits, I can only say that I wish I knew the things I know know that I knew then. Although astral travel in itself was the most highly mystical experience I had ever had, there was no direction to it other than me attempting to astral travel. So when my consciousness was soaring through the astral, in amongst the stars, and I saw those beings of light, I made no attempt at communication, or to find answers or establish connections. Now looking back, there is so much more that I would like to do if I could just get back there. There not meaning "there" but deep within myself through the gateway to the anima mundi. I don't feel that astral travel is an external experience.
