The periods of speech and silence pertain only to the publication of The Equinox. Only the ignorant (or the revisionist) suggests otherwise.'
Crowley originally intended to publish for 5 years, go do other things for 5 years, come back to publishing, etc. After the summer of 1919, he wasn't able to continue this plan any longer (no funds), so he abandoned it.

I agree that it was mainly for the equinox, though he did put into place into other areas of his life and those that circled his. I would have to say, though, that I see nothing wrong with these A.'.A.'. periods of Silence and Speech. If you think about it, the Order should take periods to sit back, take care of itself, contemplate itself, and to do what is necessary within itself. Then go back out and continue what it was doing before. This keeps a sort of balance amongst the membership. A peace that is perceptive to some. Then everything begins moving again....

Im not sure what you mean about 'he did put into place into other areas of his life and those that circled his...' but if you mean periods of 5 years of silence I cant help but disagree (although you could be saying something else, your grammar is pretty poor)
