93 I very new to the Thelemic system, and have just started the yoga, although I'm not completely new to magik the results I get from yoga are, I favour the dragon asana, and since I've started doing this I have been getting flashes and pictures that are quite different is the only way I can describe it, and when I finish I seem to get a burst of euphoria a short while after which is great, I guess what I'm trying to ask is the beginning of some result.>93

I think it's most likely a symptom of a purification phase. The brain is shaking some cobwebs loose etc.

One shouldn't be excessively attentive to minutia in these beginning practices. The main consideration is whether one can hold the selected pose for a long time without moving. It's not unusual for the brain to toss off anything it can manufacture to distract you.

93 I am finding my time spent in the Dragon asana has started to lengthen, from 10 minuites a couple of days ago to half an hour today, the thoughts popping in and out of my head have almost ceased, by the use of a geometric mantra, to try and keep it as simple as possible, what kind of time span are we talking to remain in Asana?93

"what kind of time span are we talking to remain in Asana?"

    That depends on your purpose.

For example, for the purpose of passing examination in A.'.A.'. 2=9 grade, the standard is perfect stillness (such that a bowl full of water balanced on your head wouldn't spill a drop) for one hour.

In some ways, that's an arbitrary standard, but it's the standard for that particular examination. A preliminary goal is the discipline and both character and alchemical changes that come from getting to that point. The eventual goal is that when you undertake the Greater Operations (such as the formal work of aspiring to and invoking the Holy Guardian Angel) you can stay in position however long is necessary.

93 I have come to the conclusion, that I'm trying to run before I can walk this is a part of my nature that I know and love, I go for my Minerval in march and look forward to that with great enthusiasm.93
