Binding spell?

My friend is afraid that her brother is going to hurt her physically. She asked me to help her find a good binding spell. She doesn't own a computer, so we were going to google something.
I was going to show her the "Tower of Light" meditation, such as is found on this site (scroll down):

I am going to talk to her about "Harm be to none" I want to make sure she does not intend to harm him.
Also need to figure out what she can do practically. She didn't want to go to the police.
Any advice I am grateful for.

93 93/93"If you are actually concerned about physical harm, the best 'binding spell' would be a restraining order or a communication with police. It would be idiotic to look for spells on this. I also think the Wiccan Rede is stupid "An it harm none..." as protecting yourself can and often does harm others.... and? Does that mean we shouldnt protect ourselves?

If you can get in touch with a familiar, you could ask for advice. I would not ask them to take any action on her behalf, but they are very smart, and maybe can help provide some remedies that she can do on the plane of action. However IMO, it is a good idea to try all other available 'worldy' options before using any kind of magick.

It seems to me that it should be possible, in some cases at least, to protect oneself without harming the other person. Of course, sometimes you need to hurt or kill someone in self defense. But if possible, it's ideal not to.
Anyway, she used my computer and found a spell she liked.
