Thoth Tarot
-
I've always used this deck, and no other deck, so I may not have been aware of this. Was the Star and The Emperor switched in order they occur? For example, the Emperor is numbered IV in the deck, but during Holy Season occurs on March 24th, Number XVII, and The Star, HEH, occurs on April 6th. This is also the order ascending up the Tree. Do other Tarot systems have this reversed, so the Emperor occurs before Empress?
Also, I'm assuming Thelema is the proper place for Tarot threads regarding the Thoth deck. Or should it be placed under Qabalah?
Thanks.

For as long as Tarot has existed, The Emperor has been card IV and The Star has been card XVII. However, until a decade or two into the New Aeon (when Crowley began unravelling one of the revelations in Liber L.), it was wrongly assumed that The Emperor was assigned to Heh and The Star to Tzaddi.
The list from which you are working is based on the Hebrew letter sequence, not the Tarot Trump sequence.
There is another flip. From the earliest days of Tarot (and until Waite led the way in screwing it up), the card called Justice (now Adjustment) was card VIII, yet corresponds to the 12th Hebrew letter, Lamed; while the card called Force, Strenth, etc. (now Lust) was card XI, yet corresponds to the 9th Hebrew letter, Teth.
(On placement, your second guess was better - I'm moving this to the Qabalah section.)
