Where to start?

Hello all,
I am a complete beginner in the world of Thelema, so was hoping somebody would be able to help me out.
The Thoth Tarot cards are what initially interested me so I have got myself a copy of Lon Milo DuQuette's "Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot" which I am currently working through. So far everything is pretty clear to me, but I'm wandering what your thoughts are on starting with the Tarot (I also have a copy of the Book of Thoth). Should I start elsewhere to build up a greater background knowledge and then work on the Tarot later?
Also because of my current location self study is my only option.Any advice is greatly appreciated.

AlexYou're evidently in the Seeker phase - not yet ready to make the significant step into Initiation.
The proper beginning for the Seeker is to dive into whatsoever he or she is drawn to - numerous diverse things, drinking from every available well as much and as long as you wish.
So... go with what attracts you.
