Newbie Question - Treasure-House of Images

I came upon this text a while back and I found it to be very beautiful and inspirational.

I was looking at the introductory note and it states that the practitioner should 'seek his Star' - does this simply mean a star that one feels a deep connection with, or is there a specific astrological/occult meaning?
