attracting/avoiding unwanted attention
-
I've been trying to solve the following puzzle.
A few years back when I was actively banishing/invoking on an almost daily basis I noticed that I was attracting to myself extraordinary attention from others, both good and bad. Strangers would be visibly repelled or attracted to me. This continued for well over a year and culminated in a series of ordeals. I felt like nothing had changed in myself, but ppl around me started to go crazy - finding myself suddenly the object of gossip and slander.
To date I have been unable to solve this observation. However I do recall once meeting a fellow magician in a pub, who had clearly just finished doing some ritual, since he was emanating intense energy.
My questions:
-
Is it possible that one can be completely oblivious to the energy he or she is emanating after an invoking but others around them are picking up on this energy?
-
If so, is there some way to do this magickal work while, for example, holding a job in an office environment and without attracting unwanted attention to oneself from work colleagues?
-
Regular practise of the LBRP causes one to "light up" on the astral. Is this lighting up on the astral mirrored in the inordinate attention one attracts to oneself?
-
-
I've had similar experiences.
I can't vouch for what the proper answer to your questions is, however, something to consider is how the LBRP seems to remove the negative influences that sometimes attach themselves to you."1. Anything is possible really. Unconsciously attracting attention through charisma, body language, subtle gestures is not that uncommon.
I am sure that because a magician can project his thoughts more clearly and with a ton more force than the average person that those thoughts become public domain."2. If so, is there some way to do this magical work while, for example, holding a job in an office environment and without attracting unwanted attention to oneself from work colleagues?
"I highly doubt this is likely in an office environment. It is best to be innocent.
"3. Regular practise of the LBRP causes one to "light up" on the astral. Is this lighting up on the astral mirrored in the inordinate attention one attracts to oneself?"
I would think so.
Feeling like nothing had changed, I would say, is just a feeling. Of course everything always changes.
I believe that performing LBRP may cause my body to be infused with light on a cellular level, if not all levels barring supernal. In L.V.X.

The way I understand it (FWIW, this is just my theoretical understanding from what I can glean) is that correct practice of the LRBP should be sort of sealing you off from the world in a protective bubble, which also protects others from your energies, as much as it protects you from others'. The Rosicrucian passes unnoticed, wears the clothes of the country he's passing through; if you're being noticed as a bug-eyed magician, something's gone wrong (or, in very rare cases, right)
The phenomena you are talking about seem like "leakage". This could be either because your practice was imperfect and/or unbalanced in some way, or because (even though your practice may have been good) the energies invoked were too strong even for well-practiced rituals to contain.
IOW, to use a possibly overworked hydraulic metaphor: "leakage" either because of a cracked container (poor container, average energy), or because high pressure cracked even a pretty good container (average container, high energy).
So I guess it could be a good sign or a bad sign, it depends.

I can agree with the leakage part as the rituals precipitated the break-up of my long-term marriage. Along with the resulting ordeals I connected with a hitherto unknown power and saw the strongest evidence that magick actually "works". For me the key was emotional investment, becoming aware of a vast consciousness and larger than life visualization when doing rituals.

I think at first it does clean up one's aura, but then the cleansed aura starts to attract all kinds of attention. If anything, I seemed to become a magnet for psychic vampires. Another thing I noticed is that my email accounts were repeatedly hacked time and time again - something that only started occurring after doing rituals on a regular basis. In my universe nothing happens by chance or accident but part of me cannot help but think there has to be a smarter way to evolve spiritually without so much high octane drama.

That's for sure. I've learned to keep a tight watch on my thoughts and emotions because they seem to materialize rather quickly "out there" in the public space.

My legal nature takes exception to your term "innocent". Liber Oz may not be taken seriously by governments, but I regard the right to pursue spiritual practises in private and without discrimination as lawful and moral, being grounded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, namely Articles 7, 12, 18 and 29. This singular legal document, drafted after witnessing the horrors of concentration camps and WW2, sets forth that every human being should be granted freedom from oppression (negative freedom) and freedom to develop one's potential (positive freedom). Of course I realize the UDHR is an ideal to be aspired for and not a given, but it provides the legal framework within which to ground oneself.

Brother Atlas Rich:
It is interesting that you asked that question. I, at first had the same problem with the LBRP. I went to a night club and and I found $300 and a bag of weed. since no one claimed it. and if i turned it in, someone would falsely claim it anyhow. I kept the money and the weed. I thought I was on the price is right! I noticed that I also, too had unwanted attention from women and men and I was somewhat the center of attention that night. and every night I'd do the LBRP before going out. But it took three months to build up that energy to do so. But i was constantly arguing with my girlfriend on the other hand as well.
Jim Eshleman said it best in one of these post is that the effect of the LBRP will "break down your situations in your life, and then rebuild it aligning with your will." that may the answer youre looking for.
Have you tried the star ruby? or the invoking of the pentagram? And if you do the BRH and middle pillar exercise, it helps immensely with the cleasning and reorganizing thou will.
I've taken pictures when im doing the LBRP and theres Orbs surronding me. Blue orbs usually are positive energy. But i cannot make that assumption for you whereas each of our paths towards true will is different.
I hope this helps

King Solomon,
It took about 2 months for me to build up the energy before I started attracting attention. I should mention I also attracted unusual opportunities, extravagant gifts being offered to me, unwanted sexual attention. So the good comes with the bad - two sides of the same chaotic energy it seems.
I'm not sure what you mean by "invoking the pentagram" or BRH. I've invoked elemental fire using the LBRP as a template and performed the Greater Pentagram Ritual. Also Star Ruby, Middle Pillar, LRH and GRH. One of my favorite sequences is LBRP, Middle Pillar and LRH, which works on the 5+6 equation. I like the Star Ruby a lot but I don't like combining it with the other rituals simply because the divine names are different from the Hebrew divine names. But that's just me. Doesn't seem bother others..
I guess the one question on my mind is whether one may be unconsciously or unintentionally emanating energy through these exercises and thus attracting attention. Magicians tend to work alone so this would be something hard to verify.
Jim - can you provide any feedback on the above?

I think I misunderstood what you were getting at exactly.
"My legal nature takes exception to your term "innocent". Liber Oz may not be taken seriously by governments, but I regard the right to pursue spiritual practises in private and without discrimination..."
You want to do rituals and magickal practices while at work, in front of co-workers and not attract unwanted attention. Is this the case?
I said it would be best to remain innocent meaning of the attention you are receiving, innocent of the "Blind Force" you are projecting...now, putting on a performance at work may be a different story. -

I meant carrying out a magickal regime at home in the privacy of one's room/temple.
