Astrological Meditations
-
I've been thinking of starting the practice of meditating on whatever tarot trump is associated with the astrological sign that the sun is currently in, and I'd like some feedback.
-
I have some concerns about meditating on a specific trump for that long. How valid a concern is this? If valid, might there be ways the practice could be continued but altered to account for this?
-
Unless the practice is supplemented in some way, that leaves out 10 other trumps. Can anyone suggest systematic approach to incorporating the other trumps during the course of the year? Or, might it be worth it to simply incorporate those at a later date?
-
Does anyone have any other advice? Am I trying to re-invent the wheel? If so, where can I find information on that wheel?
Thanks.

Why limit yourself to the sun? If you have qualms about meditating on a specific trump for so long, why not use the moon? The moon is suited to the reflective quality of meditation, and is very useful when one wishes to "attune" oneself to a particular sign. Using the moon would limit your meditation to about two days per trump.
As far as #2 is concerned, I don't see why there is any reason to limit yourself to just the signs. You could incorporate the elements (Fire for Leo, Water for Pisces, etc.), and the planets in whatever scheme suits your personal evolution. An example: there is a lunar transit through Scorpio, with aspects to Jupiter and Mars. You could incorporate the Fiery, Martial qualities of Mars/Scorpio with the Water nature of the Moon/Scorpio using their respective Tarot trumps. This is very useful in understanding astrological relationships.
This could also be applied to natal astrology, using aspects to one's own horoscope, or in a variety of other ways. Experiment!

Yes, Kevin Townley first book "The Cube of Space" uses the tarot exactly in the way you are describing it. The first book makes use of the Chaldean attributes to the minor cards while his second book "Meditations on The Cube of Space" makes use of an Elemental order to the same minors. The Chaldean order is what A.C. uses for the Thoth Tarot deck and the Elemental order is what PFC uses for the B.O.T.A. deck.Hope this helps.
