ok, this book is full of goodies and candy, but is there a simpler way to make a talisman? its a bit hard for me to grasp, im trying to learn how to make a jupiter talsiman for money, and woah! a lot of sticky glue and complicated mix with it.
anyone care to simplify?
oh, also in the same book, book 6, pg <195> Evocation, calling up the Angel Axir to obtain the philosophers stone? correct me if im wrong, also i would love to make a being appear to me in ritual, visibly!
lol this ritual might be jumping the gone, but deffinatley on the "To Do in the Near Future list" lol.

Actually, Regardie's book on talismans is way better than anything in the GD book. I strongly recommend it.

Well, they're all in the section of practices for the 5=6 of the Golden Dawn. That doesn't necessarily dictate what you do about it, but I'm answering your question - that's the stage of development where these were taught.

good, ok i think i got that in E-book form, i do like his stuff.

ok, so if i was to do one of them, would there be need for caution in any of them if im not up to that grade?

I think it's more of a matter of one not opening onself up to Yetzirah until one was 5=6 in the old GD where one can properly do many of the practices taught at that state. I don't think many of the practices would need many precautions other than whether you'd really be achieving what you want to achieve by doing them. I would make precautions against Enochian however.

well one of the points for me is experiencing the energy in the riutal, weather a being appears or not, is not the case, for me anywayz.

I dont believe i have "actually" turned invisible, and from what I have read about that it takes quite a meditative ability, but I have altered peoples perception's before.
One day, about a week ago, "and this pissed me off and made me sad inside", I was going to get a dollar in change from a five dollar bill at a convenient store, as i was waiting in line, i would it out of my wallet and held it in my left hand, and TRUST me it was a five dollar bill, i kept count of how much i had that morning b/c i got some coffee and a sausage egg and cheese biscute earlier that mornign and i had ten dollars left. When i was up next without looking as usual i asked for a dollar in change and put the five in my right hand as i handed it to her i saw that it turned into a Dollar!!!, i was pissed and sad, i can understand if it were to turn into 100 dollars, but a 1, i lost four dollars that day, later i tried to turn the other 5 into a 10 or 20 but didnt work.
I dont know if you would call that an ability that flashed like a light bulb or soemthing else.

well i know for sure my mind wasnt messing with me, b/c i did have 2 5 dollar bills in my wallet, that i do know without a doubt, ive have some weird things like that happen here and there, its just hard to judge if it could be classified as a personal ability, idk, b/c i so far as i know i havent been able to do it at will, on the other hand i do believe that such things will flash on and off like a light bulb until they are honed in and controlled at will, or either will go away for a time being until one advances enough in their spirituality for it to come to full bloom, like 4 years ago i could move small objects with my mind and do basics telepathy, as these started coming out right before i got into witchcraft.
I think when one chooses a spiritual path where you have to face your problems, sometimes abilities will lay dormant until you get through your garbage, which i have not fully completed the transition, but soon, once i work a few kinks.conclusion, i believe its something dormant thats not ready to bloom just yet.

oh, forgot to mention something i was reading in a bookstore yesterday, in Riply's believe it or not, this monk guy who they call "electric man" hangs lightbulbs from his head and ears and lights them up with his bio-electricity, as it explained that the average human can conduct up to 10,000 volts of electricity by walking or rubbing their feet on carpet with socks on (ofcourse this was not the case with him), but people who train themselves to monitor and control the electricity in the body can generate lots more and properly direct it.
and ive always loved watching movies of wizards and witches who have fascinating abilities, especially to shoot lighting from ones fingertips like Darth Sidius in Star Wars, now i guess with some practice it "IS" possible lol

Yeah, I try to avoid such practices when in the presence of "Muggles," for the aforementioned reasons. It's just unethical.
I rarely use my "power of suggestion" for personal reward anymore. It's important not to interfere with the Wills of others. Also, it tends to backfire 99% of the time, at least in my experience. Especially in matters of sexuality. Take it from me, gentlemen, you're better off buying her a drink!

do agree with you on not messing with ppls wills, not very polite, and unless for practice (in good spirit!!!) i see no sense in it.
back firing? it must be doing so b/c of the way you perceive it, kinda how wiccan's believe in the three fold law and the law of return as you call "backfiring", same diff, i acknowledge that it exisits and happens to ppl to an extent, and depends if you believe in such "self punishment" is what it boils down to.
here is a tip, creating change makes things backfire and is sticky, influencing something that is already present doesnt backfire, except only some guilty conscious will create self punishment from the universe, you have to change your perception on what is right or wrong to your will.
ive heard of a way to "weaving the web" in a way to redirect backfire for good, or karma i guess you could say, but anyone who knows it isnt goin to spill the beans.

Yeah, I'm not advocating against it but just saying one should take precautions. I think that just goes in general in magick though.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.I always hear warnings on how enochian magic can be quite dangerous for those who are not ready. The only person I have ever heard say it was safe for new magicians was Lon Milo Duqueet in his books. What grade would one be prepared for enochian work such as scrying the aethrys? Other then the probationer syllabus I do not see liber 84 show up until the practicus syllabus.
I also have tried scrying the 30th aethry resently and horribly failed in getting anything. Does anyone recommend any preliminary work other then the rituals in Liber O?

That is, this would be open to the Probationer, and often is a remarkable tool for the 1=10's mastery of the astral (just because the Enochian tablets and their spirits open up so damn easily - once you have astral preliminaries down, Enochian usually makes the next stages "piece o'cake").
Regarding the Aethyrs, though, I would suggest that their main value in the early grades is in teaching discrimination. That is, we have it on good authority in Liber 418 that, unless you have reached a corresponding grade, you'll get bullshit results. I don't see any harm in practicing them early as long as you heed the discrimination instructions at the beginning of Liber O. OTOH I don't see much value in it.
The Elemental Tablets OTOH are ripe for harvesting and usually work strikingly well.

I've always found that this is best learned from one-on-one instruction. A prior, solid history of meditation practice helps enormously BTW, for several different reasons.
PS - I just confirmed my memory: Liber Chanokh is a Class B document. That means it's automatically on the Probationer syllabus."

Well, I did say it was acceptable for Probationers - which is way past beginners!
And I said that for beginners I didn't see it causing serious harm. Hardly a ringing endorsement, though I see your point
