While meditating on CCXX, III:12 early this morning I stumbled upon an interesting Qabalistic proof ...I thought I'd post it by chance that it might be of some interest to others.

"Sacrifice cattle, little and big: after a child." - Liber CCXX, III:12

cattle = Aleph; little (standard) Aleph = 1; big Aleph = 1000; 1 + 1000 = 1001 = JOY = "when all is equilibrated" (see The Dragon-Flies in Liber CCCXXXIII) ...in this light it is the aforementioned sacrifice that produces the child referenced at the end of the verse.

The homunculus as the little man in the seed, who sacrifices his life to conceive a new life.

    93,

Bravo. Very nice. One of those gloriously simple and elegant qabalistic proofs.

In alchemical engravings, four-legged animals (e.g. cattle) = fixity or the elements. Thought you might appreciate that 😉

    Very nice. Clear and balanced.

And that bit about the photons is nice too, Alrah. Come to think about it, nuclear fusion has nice parallels with Crowley's method of "uniting opposites," where two qualities are destroyed in the creation of a third, etc.

I also notice that the Hebrew word for sacrifice, KRBN, is equal to 922, the number of "possess," "secret," and "wine," among other things.

" In alchemical engravings, four-legged animals (e.g. cattle) = fixity or the elements."

    Child is YLD, 44.
